2007-2011 SAN owners...help!

Well I am toying around with the idea of upgrading hopefully by next season and wanted to ask a you guys a couple questions, get your input on some pros and cons, and see if I can make this happen.

Im coming from a 2002 TE that I have had since 2003. I love the boat, but after being on and riding behind some of the new models I feel like I'm carry around a Motorola StarTac in the land of iPhones. There are so many advancements that have been made on the new boats that I feel like mine is getting dated (although the hull is a proven beast).

So first, a couple questions for you owners.

The 2 point towers with the Z5- Am I limited to only certain tower speakers that will fit? i.e. REV series, Pro 60s, 80s. Will the 485s or the "new 485 REVs" not fit?

What about tower speakers on the 4 point with the Z5?

Is anyone having problems with the LINC?

What is the average ballast you guys are having to add to these boats to get the wake top notch? I know in my 02 it takes around 2500lbs and the wake is a monster, but I've heard guys putting 4-5K in the 230s.

What's the general opinion on getting the 210 opposed to the 230? Any downfalls to either?

Thanks guys, I look forward to hearing some of your responses.

I had a 2010 210 and now the 2011 230 that you have seen.

Give me a call sometime if you want some specific things answered in detail.

on avg I only add around 2K above factory ballast and wake is super legit on my 210.

tower speakers are a pain with the z5. I had to mount my nvs tower speakers on top of the tower if you mount anything hanging down besides the factory speakers you wont be able to use the z5 for your boards. If you dont need the z5 you would have room for any of them. I know a guy who put two pro 485s up there not sure how hard it was but it can be done. I only added 1400 above the factory and the wake is sick(700 on each side) 210 and 230 are both nice i went with the 230 for the room we have a big group usually !

I have a 2010 210 TE that we picked up this spring as a demo boat. No problems at all with the LINK system. In fact, I just got back from a trip at Norris Lake and it was super helpful as there are tons of coves and places to go - marinas, board shops, floating bars / party bridge - etc.

You will want to add additional weight, get it plumbed in. I have 550 on each side of the engine and (I think) it's 680 or something in the bow on top of the stock ballast. We add another 1000 lbs throughout the boat to surf unless we have a full boat.

You will love the wake.....
