I saw a pretty good deal on closeout 07 Watson bindings and curious what changed on the 08/09 Watsons? I saw the Fly 09s are way different, but what about the regular 09 and 08 vs 07? For comparison, I currently have Ronix Reliks that I rode maybe 3 times and am looking for more supports than they offer. I am also considering 08 Murrays or possible even some Byerlys.

Any other comments on the Watsons? comfy, durability, etc?

Not sure about the 07's, but I had the 08 CT and I now have the regular (not limited edt) 09 CT. The big difference from 08 to 09 is this:

- The 09's are taller and stiffer

- They got rid of the "pad" from the 08's at the top of the lower lace section which gets caught on the laces when cinching them up. This means the 09's cinch up easier.

- They changed the base plates from 08 to 09. This was a change for the worse IMO. The 09 plates flex and cause the heel of the boot to lift. However, the better 08 plates will work with the 09 boots. I switched the plates on my 09 boots with 08 plates. Now they are the perfect boot!

- The 09's are lighter than the 08's

- They changed the way the liner wraps around your shin on the 09's. The 09's are more like a traditional snowboard boot. Both styles are comfortable.

As far as durability, supposedly the 07's and 08's would tear easily on the back of the boot. The 09's are supposed to eliminate this problem?
