Thought I would post up some pics from Lake Powell yesterday! It is only about a 3 hour drive from Grand Junction, CO so we went for a short day trip since everything here is frozen!

Air was 57 and water was 46... Not too bad!!

robandrus 02-29-2012 9:33 PM

Beautiful shots. With all the snow I think I'll go hit Brighton and think about how snowboarding crosses over for a few months.

wakerider111 02-29-2012 11:10 PM

Man. i totally need a better suit, and a consistent third who is passionate about wakeboarding so i can enjoy my back yard (LAKE POWELL = 10min away) during the off season.
almost makes me sick.
but dig the pics

imondi 03-01-2012 6:59 AM

Thanks guys! Haha february and March are my favorite months for Powell of you catch a nice day!!

Wakerider: wether do you live? Bullfrog or down south? We will be back out there in a couple weeks!

wakeboardern1 03-01-2012 7:18 AM

Winch stalled on me halfway through the pond, and I wound up getting dragged 100 yards at 8 mph.

Page Arizona.
if you or anyone are down and have extra room and/or want to join us (we probably wont start up till april) we are ALWAYS looking to meet new peeps, even if we have to approach random strangers on the beach to be/find a third. the new antelope point cable might help in this regard. ha

next you come I would be absolutely stoked even just to ride around as ballast weight even :D

sidekicknicholas 03-01-2012 9:39 AM

I spot Tom Knotek!

I'm jealous he's in Texas.

Here is one from last weekend. No actual boarding shots because it was just me and one other person but still had a good time.

boomshot 03-02-2012 10:14 AM

Who is the guy/gal holding the camera in the first picture (taking the photo)?

wakebrdjay 03-02-2012 10:18 AM

That's The Gnarslayer! Gal?? LOL that would be one rough looking gal with sideburns like that.

boomshot 03-02-2012 10:30 AM

Oops. Ok. Thanks. Don't be offended, person in the picture. Sometimes it's a touch call you know? I just honestly, innocently, didn't know what we were workin' with. The sideburns and eyebrows were kind of a tipoff, but the face and hair was also a tip off, of another sort. I get called androgynous all the time and many people find it sexy so nobody should get upset. I know I don't. Sorry.

I finally got my computer up and running, so I was able to put together this quick little video of us winching a pond during the one snow storm we got here in blacksburg, va. I figured this would be a good thread to put it in.
