HLCD Speakers?
Any 6.5" HLCD speaker recommendations. Found a Roswell light/speaker bar for 125$ but the crap Sony marine speakers are done. I can get a set of Kicker KMT674's for about 550$, but I just dropped 1K$ on a bimini.
Thanks Lemonade. |
HLCD Speakers?
Krypt Audio. I had a set of their 6.5s and they slammed with proper power.

HLCD Speakers?
I had the same setup on my old 2004 Moomba LS. I removed the stock regular speakers from the cans and put in 2 sets of Krypt 6.5" HLCD's. Now....I know they aren't the best, but for the money they were awesome. Ran each side in parallel and off a PPI 650.2 amp, that was bridged and it kicked ass. Just another option, to consider, although MLA will probably kick my ass for suggesting them. LOLhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...55f9c00c58.jpg

Kicker KMS674 for $280 retail but you need for pods/wholes. The KMT67 is a loaded assembly, not meant for unloaded empty pods anyway.

ha, I have a pair of Krypt 6.5s as well. I'd go with the 7.7" next time, but they're solid. Even if they are ripoffs.

I have the 7.7s with 500w rms to each. I dont think you can beat them for the money. Havent had any issues with them. Sound great.

I just bought 2 pairs of Memphis HCLD 6.75's. They are okay. I still need to adjust their direction. My two centers are pointed down a bit too much. I bought them brand new for $250 a pair from my local deal on a special. They are on a pivot mount with similar design to exile speakers. I got them in white because I thought white would look better on my boat but they come in a dark grey as well.

The Memphis don't sound nearly as bright/harsh as the Krypts. But they don't project quite as well either. Eventually you'll end up with some sort of 8"+ so just do it the first time and save the money.

Trying to do this on a tight budget. 8"'s are planned for when i sell and upgrade ;). I found a roswell light/speaker bar with 2 pods and shot Sony speakers.
