redsupralaunch 12-01-2011 5:15 AM

I finally get to see it. Put this on the bucket list

tuneman 12-01-2011 6:33 AM

Really cool. Wondering about the 10th anniversary bit, though. To my knowledge, the first boats came out in 2005.

jonblarc7 12-01-2011 6:39 AM

The Epic hull is a resin infused hull. So where the graphic lights up is a clear resin. They have it tined red with white LED strips behind it on the controller. So it is in the actual gel coat. Here is some more shots of the boat from Surf Expo. The boat is lit up with our LED speaker rings on all the XS-650. 3 pairs in the boat and 4 pairs in the transom. And two pairs of REV 10 on the tower with LED rings.

Can anyone post a pic of the facebook link above? I can't open facebook at work and curious to see it. Sounds cool.

lifetimewarranty 12-01-2011 7:51 AM

I want one!

tn_rider 12-01-2011 8:05 AM

I LOVE these boats, only thing keeping me from seriously looking at one is the bow. To me it looks like someone took a hack saw and chopped off the nose. But that's just IMO though.

polarbill 12-01-2011 8:28 AM

That is very cool and that is the best looking Epic I have seen to this point.

dbdb 12-01-2011 9:04 AM

That is a good looking boat!

psudy 12-01-2011 10:26 AM

Epic should give me one so I can advertise for them in the midwest.

timmyb 12-01-2011 10:38 AM

Is the other side Green so that it complies with US Coast Guard Nav light rules? :D j/k, that is pretty bad azz!

ilikebeaverandboats 12-01-2011 11:01 AM

Thats so sick!! Cool idea.

psudy 12-01-2011 12:19 PM

Can you replace the lights if they go out?

chattwake 12-01-2011 12:31 PM

@Paul - Damn good question.

i was gonna ask that question as well! it would be even more funny if the port side speakers/etc were all red LEDs and starboard were green LEDs!!

simplej 12-01-2011 3:53 PM

Trust me chase, in person that nose looks sick...

seth 12-01-2011 4:27 PM

I would definately 69 SLAM that thing.

tn_rider 12-01-2011 8:33 PM

Alright epic owners let's see the WAKE!!

lsukuntryboy 12-01-2011 8:43 PM

it looks pretty sick in person. but the lights are on the inside of the hull, so they can be replaced. they gave me a chunk of a piece of hull that they used. you can hold it up to a light bulb and see the light glowing thru. i thought it looked amazing.

ilikebeaverandboats 12-01-2011 8:44 PM

potential for some fiber optics......?

tyler97217 12-01-2011 10:17 PM

Pretty cool..... We don't boat at night much, but I would probably ask my wife to stay out later if I had that........

bill_airjunky 12-02-2011 6:14 PM

Looks cool. But I don't know that I need to attract so much attention to the boat at night that the entire lake knows we look like a billboard in Las Vegas.

grant_west 12-03-2011 5:34 PM

When The cops have more Bling then you. LOL

I guess I'm the only dissenting voice here (or just getting old, lol), but I can't decide if this boat reminds me too much of a blinged-out Mitsubishi Eclipse just needing a fartcan for an exhaust, or if it reminds me of my front lawn during this Christmas season.

Either way, it aint for me.

slowwwflowww 12-04-2011 4:35 PM

There's something out there for everybody!I think its perfect for this time of year, who needs a tree.Just fill the boat with presents!!

I can see the correlation.....BUT, if you have ever been on a boat at night just hanging out, nothing is cooler than a bunch of lights. I know whenever we go out on warm summer nights we bring a ton of glowsticks, and the underwater transom lights we have are so cool looking!

The blinded out eclipse just lights up the dirty street, we light up water haha. And water just looks cool lit up!

For the guys that run LED speaker rings and cup holder rings, this is PERFECT!

loudontn 12-05-2011 4:26 AM

That is VERY cool...I'd be concerned about the fragility of the lights but it's surprising this hasn't been done before. Be interested in seeing how they hold up given the port/starboard sides of the boat are designed to flex a little and come into contact with docks.

duckguy 12-05-2011 7:58 AM

The deck in black would of been sweet!

HighVoltage 12-05-2011 11:52 AM

That looks sick. Wish I had it on my boat.
