'05 Malibu LSV Surf Setup

Just curious how you guys are weighting (or did weight if you've updated your boat) the '04-'07 Malibu LSV boat for surfing.

I've traditionally run stock, plus about 500 in the starboard rear, manual wedge down, and then sometimes an extra 400 in the bow. The wake is fairly big but very short. This setup puts the sweet spot just like 3-4 feet off the platform. If I pull the wedge up it helps but then the wake never gets as clean. I just want to make the sweet spot a little bit longer.

Thoughts on how to best weight for surfing?

I know it's not the same, but with our 06 VLX we have had success with all stock tanks full except starboard, 750 in port compartment, and 750 on the floor in center. No wedge.

Thanks bro. We are usually surfing with a bunch of people in the boat so I'm thinking more bow weight. The wake is actually better with only one person in the boat which would have that theory make more sense.

I have an 02 wakesetter, wave is huge but not very long. Then I made my own ghetto gate, wave is really long & still big (I still run a lot of weight, 1000 in rear surf side, 500 rear non surf side, 600 center, 500 bow). either make a gate or get on the horn with wickedwave (wicked surf? Cant remember their name) who makes these gates for like 200 bucks
