Bimini Suggestions Appreciated
I have a proflight tower and have been looking at bimini options for a while. I have the greenlight from mom so I'm going to order soon. I'm torn between a tower mounted folding one and a frame + canvas option (similar to monster cargo tower etc.)
Your vast knowledge and experience is appreciated. - "If life gives you lemons...buy more tequila" |
I had the monster cargo on my last boat and loved it. It was nice that it had adjustable tilt and that you could carry at least 2 surfboards on it as well as a tube.

Thanks Stazi, the one I"m looking at isn't a cargo bimini per se, but I' might see about adding some cross memebers and the REborn/Krypt surf racks to it.

I just stopped by to say we hate our collapsible bimini, it's like a damn puzzle putting it up & putting away can be just as bad.

If you can swing the Monster Cargo Bimini, get it! You will not be disappointed and you won't have to rig up extra poles and crap to hold surfboards etc. |
I'm looking but I'd be around 600$ CAD for the one I found and looks like a Monster would be about 1200$ CAD.
Here's the one that I'm considering and thanks for the input on the folding bimin's racer808, I'd heard they can be bothersome. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/UNIVERSAL-FLA...IAAOSwAuNW6DfR |
My neighbor has that Bimini on his Supra TS6M and it looks like crap. I would skip it.

Possible to get a picture of it there Stazi?

Gonna order up the Monster. I saw in a thread someone made the hardware that drills in fit to tower clamps. Anyone know if this is feasible?
|
I've seen people do it. I just drilled and screwed right into the tower. Easier overall
