so anyone know the story on why rail jam was called off? We were really looking forward to going and was disappointed when we got there and found signs saying it wasn't going to happen.

Likely either the Title sponsor or Step Up, cause they were "performing" in Detroit

the story I heard was that the company that brought the pools up from Florida didn't let them warm up enough before unfolding them and filling with water, so the cold brittle plastic started poping seams and water was leaking everywhere.

I heard the same. They said they thought they could fix it, and the people in charge said no thanks, just go.

I was worried about the cold weather and wondered if that had anything to do with it. Nice show regardless, always good to see multiple boat brands set up at one show!

You guys really didn't miss anything with the "rail jam". I watched it in Detroit and wish I had 20 minutes of my life back. I guess it would be cool if you haven't ever been around the sport, but they had them doing really small tricks for 80% of it, and then at the end, they had one guy do an inverted roll or something.
