Boat under 25K (Semi Choppy Water)

My boys are really getting interested in wakeboarding and I am trying to get the wife on board as well. I am close!!! We usually go to my parent's lake house on the weekends and a lot of weekend warriors are out causing semi choppy water. What boat should I look at for this type of environment and around 20-25K?

Thank you

Used or new boats? Do you have a link to the website?

Tige, Centurion, and I think some of the early Supras had deep V hulls. Tiges had deep freeboards like all the newer boats do these days.

I can't speak about other boats, but I purchased a '06 Supra 21V in 2010 within your price range and have been incredibly happy with it. The wakeboard wake is great. We don't surf and I have never heard of good reviews about it's "wave". It is a deep V and handles ok in chop. Good luck with your search!

I have a 07 Supra 21V I bought new. We're up to 360 hours and it has treated me well with no major repairs, knock on wood...

Surf wake is pretty good after the following:

Replaced swim platform with the new supra surf platform
Wakemaker custom 650 lb sacs in rear locker
Gravity games 1180 lb sac up front
1-3 150 lb sacs on rear seat depending who many people we have
MIssion Wedge

This was the wave last weekend

25k is going to limit you to some old rides and most of them will not have the deep freeboard you want on a choppy body of water.
my .02 look for an older tige 21v/2100 or 2300.

centurion Avalanche

Look for an 05 to 06 Mastercraft x10. Great boat and handles rough water nicely.

2nd on the Avalanche

I’d say look for a maristar 210 or 230 98 or newer. Same hull as x10 or x30 minus ballast. Not quite as flat of a bottom as most inboards, big boat and wider beam at good prices. Some have Corvette engine which is cool but the ltr is cheaper to maintain and only 20-30 hp less. Hard to beat the quality of boat you’re getting in that price range. In that year it was top of the line and miles beyond centurion tige etc. Nautique was equal but didn’t have as big of an offering and Malibu was close or right at catching up to both. The 23lsv of about the same year is also a great option and had same engine as ltr which is a gm 5.7l.
