Landing blind/cuffed end of obstacle

Hello All,

I only ride cable parks. I would like to know the easiest way to finish off any obstacle with a blind/cuffed landing. Im goofy foot and the park I go to is anti-clockwise. I prefer heelside backside 360s on a box slider but I can do either way. I'd like to leave the obstacle blind with or without a jump. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Hey dude! This is one of those things that just takes a lot of practice and doing it over and over and over until you build up the muscle memory and strength to land blind consistently.

Generally right foot forward people like to land with their right hand blind and left foot forward people like to land with their left hand blind. (obviously not everyone is the same so some people are opposite)

I suggest doing ollie to blinds near the dock so you don't have to swim and walk very far, or if you have access to a 2 tower, you can just get picked up over and over.

About once a week I do ollie to blinds and land with both hands blind then let go with my front hand until it feels like the cable is going to unwrap me then grab back on with both hands until I am comfortable again then repeat. I just really try and keep that handle tight to my hip no matter how hard it feels like the cable is going to unwrap you or pull you onto your butt.

Generally with my good hand (left) I can ride a whole lap blind, where as my right hand which I am less comfortable with, only go about half a straight away. At first you may only be able to ride 15-20 feet like this, but over time it improves.

One mistake I see a lot of people make when landing blind off a kicker or rail or box is that they try and go to blind too early, which results in them slipping on their butt, you have a lot more time than you think so try not to rush things.

Sometimes also if you land blind with more speed than the cable you will have a bit of slack when landing blind and you can just grab the handle with the other hand before the rope gets tight.

But in reality if you are repetitive and just work on riding blind and doing ollie to blinds over and over, that will translate to landing blind off obstacles.

Don't feel bad if it doesn't come in one day, it is definitely not easy at first, but will be extremely helpful in the long run.
