Headunit and remote compatibility?

I currently have a Alpine CDA-9886M head unit in our boat. There are two remotes (not sure model number now - I can update) but they look like this:

... if I add a new head unit (one with bluetooth built in) will my existing remotes work to control the bluetooth source (Alpine or otherwise is fine)? If not are there some that would? I would like to be able to control volume and "next track" from the remotes.

I know exile and wetsounds make the remote sized HU replacements and I am okay with that as long as that would allow control from another remote (rear transom has one too).

Head unit is an Alpine MC10

To start with, no other brand of head unit, is likely going to interface with your Alpine remotes. 2nd, Alpine got out of the marine head unit biz about 3 years ago. So, your only option is an alpine car audio head unit that would interface with the wireless remote receiver. IIRC, it requires two hookups. One for sure is to a 3.5mm steering wheel control, but I cant remember what the 2nd was. Even if you got a unit that would allow the remotes to function, who knows if they would allow for BT skip track.

Switch it all out with updated equipment :)

I was hoping to get away with just a head unit .... everything works perfect, only small upgrade I want is bluetooth controllable via the remotes. Hard for me to justify swapping everything for a minor convenience.
