What?

Winter water skiing lands 2 NH men in hot water

WCAX News|37 minutes ago
A dangerous stunt landed two New Hampshire men in hot water, or cold water depending on how you look at it. The men filmed themselves water skiing from a snowmobile on the partially frozen Lake Winnipesaukee.

Police say the men are lucky to be alive and they are discouraging other daredevils from attempting any cold water stunts. The men were charged with disorderly conduct and could face fines of up to $1,500 each.

So now you can get fined for having fun??Is that an exucutive order?

The game warden who charged them must be a total loser. Probably a fat ass who smokes cigs.

"Lucky to be alive" sheesh, what a crock. I saw on another forum that these guys were well set up and prepared with people and equipment.

That's New England for ya! Reason 1,000,000 why wakeboarding/waterskiing will struggle to exist up here.

That's completely stupid BUT freaking awesome! I've rode 32 air and 32 water on a boat and it sucked, props for cold water riding.

USA: Land of the free and......whoa, whoa, nevermind. Land of the over policed and regulation.

That's brutal to get busted for something like that.

Remember kids... Don't try this at home

I pretty much agree with what has been said. It is like the law enforcement feels like they NEED to be offended (the one guy actually said that he is angry) by this and are coming up with lame reasons. I think the only legitimate thing could be the concern about pollution caused if the snowmobile had to slow and sank...but that it probably why there is the 'skimming law.' OK, charge them with violating that law but the rest is bull.

Cops don't like public stunts much at all.

So lame. what does the cold temps have to do with anything?

granddaddy53 03-08-2017 5:52 AM

I agree about freedom but the cold conditions were quoted by the officer as an impediment and extreme danger to any rescues necessary of the daredevils. that asis the only valid reason I heard the cop say and that danger for the rescuers is real, I think they were well prepared and power to them
