Oh, come on Delta, from the day you started working for the man, you Knew they were taking money out for taxes, I have been paying the medicare tax from day one, every year you pay taxes, you know it's coming. In essence you work to pay taxes, you might not like it, but you follow the rules and pay the taxes, it's the American way, you are part of the great American system, and one of the greatest countries in the world today, it was your Choice to work! Paying taxes comes with working, Don't like it, move to Montana, they pay very little taxes. And if you don't pay your taxes, you go to jail, Nobody is above the law! So, in fact, the government is Not stealing from you, you signed your W2 and you knew what you signed up for.

And water is wet. Still does not change the fact that taking my money, running it through the government washing machine and handing out $1000 to everyone will do nothing but waste. It will create thousands of government jobs and departments while in the mean time it will simply offset prices with the extra cash in the market.

Just like here in good ol Kalifornia. They charge more and more for everything. Give hand outs the downtroden. They even will give you 3% for a home loan and help pay your closing costs if you are a first time buyer. How about removing that program and let the houses come down in price because people could not afford the higher down payment requirements. Less people able to buy, cost of housing drops. You get two fold. Housing gets cheaper, more people have money in their pockets because the average worker is not subsidizing that. Or how about not fining the working poor and paying for illegals to have medial coverage until age 25. We can go on...
