Omaha, NE Lakes

A work opportunity came up near Omaha Nebraska, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience boarding/surfing in that area?

I know there would be far less lakes than where I'm at in Northern MN, but is it even worth having a wake boat in Nebraska?

There used to be a crew from over there, the head guy was Ronnie ( I think). They used have some better production videos on wake pics and you tube. I believe there is a really good lake just west of Omaha so yes bring your boat. Plus okoboji isn't too far away in NW Iowa

Hey I am in Omaha and looking for people to ride with. I have a 07 Malibu vlx and access to a private lake. There are also a couple public lakes. I know some people who wakeboard in Lincoln as well.

Surfing is very popular but good wakeboarders are harder to find

Hey fellas, I used to live in Omaha and there are a couple great spots close by. Fremont state lakes were designed for skiers to train and is always glass during the week. Otherwise there are some private lakes nearby too mainly woodcliff where the above referenced Ronnie lives. Look up Jon abendroth or Pete with rugged river design. If I was still local I'd be all in to make some new friends, but I'm 2 hours away in Norfolk now. If you're ever up for a road trip, look me up!

Lewis and Clark in Yankton. Gorgeous reservoir. Not super far away...

If anyone is heading to Yankton, look me up. Always good to make new friends.
