Ive found a 2000 moomba 20 mobius for 20k. Looks well maintained, but not many thrills. Its got the 301hp engine with 400 hours on it. Its has a tower, but no cans/racks/lights. I looked it up in NADA and it said the value was only $11,700. Even if i assume the trailer's not included if the value, why the difference? What's it really worth?

That boat is wayyyyy overpriced...you can get the 22ft Mobius in a newer year(2003 or so) for that price with some bells and whistles....The dude either thinks his boat is worth more than what it is or he has a loan on the boat and thats what he has to have to pay it off....If your interested in it let him know you will give him fair value for the boat aka book value.

Is is a v-drive? That is way to much in my opinion! You can find an older super sport for less than that and ive seen 00-01 super airs for 21k.

Good info guys. Thanks for the heads up! i thought those numbers were a bit off

denverd1 02-10-2010 10:43 AM

not a V-drive, even if it was, still WAY over priced. you can grab 2-4 yr old DD moombas for 20K all day.

tonyv420 02-10-2010 10:52 AM

Overpriced!!

Wow. NADA is about correct on that boat. That is near double what that boat is worth. The 310 HP is also a carb engine (no FI).

We ha a 2000 Mobius LS back in 03 and paid 18,500 for it. That boat is wayyyy too much

bmartin 02-10-2010 10:59 AM

That boat may have fetched around $20K 3 years ago in some markets, but not in most markets today.
