Facebook “Un Like”

How do you Facebookers like what Facebook has being doing with your data?
How do you feel about that Weasel Mark Zuckerberg? selling Millions in Facebook stock right b4 the bad news broke? “I’m sure it was just coincidence” didn’t Martha Stewart end up in Jail for that very same thing ?

One last thing. I find it very funny that people that use Facebook seem ashamed to admit they use it.
The #1 thing people seem to say is “I don’t use Facebook I use Instagram” as if they are on higher moral ground NEWS FLASH instagram is Facebook.

I'm not sure if you made a new post so I will reply here . I think its disgusting what Fakebook has been up to . I think Zuck will end up doing time just as Martha did . I also think it should be made perfectly clear to all other sites that this behavior will not be tolerated especially the access to Facebookers personal information by levying HUGE fines and penalty's . I also think its time to look into Instagram and twitter security issues .

I don't follow the news very closrly, what did I miss?

acurtis_ttu 03-22-2018 10:32 AM

dont really use FB, but it sucks what they did. HAve made alot over the years trading in/out of FB stock. So thx Zuck.
Zuck has planned sales, read thru their PR you'll see them. He's one of those "giving away all my wealth” guys. He's been following his plan. Rational thinking here, but if I'm giving away my wealth...I really don't care what I sell it at. What’s a $20 drop in stock price when he owns it in the single digits? Who cares? the guy is obviously not driven by wealth or he would have quit years ago.

Bill gates gave windows away, NOT! Technically yes, actually long long long term strategy no. Gates influenced him to do the give away , I guaranty he told him how to profit from it not just cut taxes under old law!!!

People who have money don’t give it away , they strategize what to do with it to the most benefit to them , no matter their “good intentions”.

I don't get it. Anyone who claims they are not aware big tech firms are collecting data on them needs to have their heads checked. People freely upload every waking second of their life for the whole world to see, but as soon as anyone makes a buck on it, they cry foul. People take these online quizzes and think it is harmless fun, but in reality most of these are to suck information out of you and some are used by unsavory people to steal your identity (most of the questions are about your personal history/favorite things...just the kind of stuff people need to answer those security questions when they reset passwords, etc.)

I agree that everyone should know/assume that their data is being collected and sold.

But, I would say that a company the size of facebook could just say, "you know, we got enough money and are big enough that the risk may not be worth the reward, maybe at this point we should quit selling data..."

I mean come on they are a $500B company. Just quit selling data. There is enough risk with someone hacking in WITHOUT letting people in.

All the social media companies are doing it, Microsoft just caught, Apple was caught. What I find funny about the entire thing is the crys about net neutrality but people have no problem willingly giving it away to all these corporations.

The fact that anything that you look at surfing the web instantly comes up as an ad on various web sites should tell you that data is collected and used. I don't think I put anything on FB that I really care that it's collected.

OTOH I hooked up with someone I worked with over 20 years ago on FB and landed a high paid consulting gig working from home as a result. So FB works fine for me. Got two free wakeboards because of being on FB (and here for one of them) too.

If you really don't want anyone to know what you're up too, even general internet browsing, get IPVanish or something simulator then get Tor & always use Duck Duck Go for your searches. There is quite a bit on the darkweb that is entertaining & you can reach all your favorite sites, except Google blocks you. BUT, the Snowden docs showed anyone who downloads Tor is put on their list, I doubt anyones watching but the Gov is mostly deff listing who's downloading Tor. So turn your IPVanish on first before downloading. Google incognito does nothing but keep your wife from knowing you're jacking it to midget porn, Google still knows what you're up too.

And for anyone who thinks the Facebook listening through your phone is BS, you should go read that dudes testimony to the British Parliament yesterday. FB & other apps all have complete control of your microphone.
