We have a 14 226 and love it . the wave is super clean and long. what engine does that one have ??

Wish I was in a position where I could trade up,I'd be driving my V212 to Texas.

The 226 has an awesome surf wave when weighted right (1500ish lbs. surf side). I personally love the style and look of the 226 and would consider it, but since I mostly wakeboard and the wake is pretty poor it's a no-go for me. Wakeboard wake in my opinion is too wide and has a soft lip. Would be fine for the occasional ride but not if wakeboarding is top of your list (which for you isn't).

I would be careful buying a wakesurf-only boat, I think the MB will hold it's value better since it does both sports well.

Interesting point. But I know way too people that ONLY surf so I'm not sure that would really matter.

+1. If I can describe the wake on his Supreme in one word, it would be, "DAMN!"
Can't go wrong there for surfing.

I used to have a 2012 MB and was not impressed in the surf wake. You had to load the boat with an additional 1500 lbs of ballast to get a good surf wake. I have not seen the Supreme surf wake but have heard it is a good one.

I had some nautique riding snobs (my good friends) out on a v226 last year and they were extremely happy with the wakeboarding wake. They were quite surprised actually. It will have a softer lip but it was a good size and stayed very consistent.

MBs produce very nice wakes as well. I rode Midnightv10's gated 2012 F23 and it was a great wake. He has extra ballast, but we rode the majority of the time with just the factory and the gates and it was one of the best I've ridden.
Just throwing this out there, but the best surf wakes I've ridden in order are:

Supreme 226 (huge custom sack from locker to passenger's seat, 2 people)
F-23 (custom gates and ballast, 3 people)
G25 (loaded with 9 people and an 1100 in the walk way)
Gated VLX (completely filled with all plug and play sacks on top of stock, 5 people)

I admit I haven't rode everything, but as of now, that's my experience in surf wakes. All with considerably more weight and/or mods than stock.
