Doesn't seem to be working. 12:36PM and nothing is appearing on the screen other than 'stand by for live stream to begin"...
So far, not good at all! I went and searched Livestream and found another link and it was a camera that was 100 yards away and you got to see about 10 seconds of the surfer going by because the camera didn't follow. Maybe I'm missing something.
Looks like it's up now.
I just tuned in with Stacia Bank riding. There is a setting where you can increase the resolution. It looks great at the highest resolution (480). They are switching from what appears to be at least 4 different camera angles. Announcers are great too. Looks pretty cool to me!
lol at the announcer's subtle denouncing of other boats
"She might not be used to it so it will no doubt take her a while to get comfortable with the long, powerful wake that centurion is known for" |
connection seems to be going in and out for me. looks like a pretty sweet event so far

wave looks small. just watched two girls lose the wave that probably weigh 100lbs less than me.
Does anyone know who is announcing?
That's Todd Gaughan (or however you spell it), he's the VP of Marketing at Centurion. He's quite a salesman on the feed...
Well, obviously he's going to give his brand some love, but I'm super impressed with the announcing skills. Normally with wakesports you've got all kinds of awkward silences and really bad filler. The girl doing the interviews is great too. It's a pretty well-done webcast. Kudos to whoever put it together.
Yeah, they are doing a pretty good job with the camera angles and the announcing. Now if we could just get a steady stream, we'd be all set!
The other announcer is Adam Replogle, a pro ocean surfer

Outlaw & Pro Divisions. These competitors rode both Friday & Saturday. Scores from Friday determined seeding for Saturday. On Saturday, competitors had to throw down their best run of the year as only this score counted for the final results. We saw some simply amazing riding on Saturday in each division. The progression of the sport is incredible. http://i530.photobucket.com/albums/d...tlawandPro.jpg Masters & Amateur Divisions These competitors rode on Thursday only. One ride to show off what folks had been working all season on. Again, incredible riding by those that participated. http://i530.photobucket.com/albums/d...ndAmateurs.jpg link to CWSA website and .pdf files in case above is too hard to read http://www.thecwsa.org/ |
Good stuff. Thanks for post Drew.
It's crazy to see how many riders there are and how they shake out to different classes depending on the competition. Some of the guys that ride Pro in the Tige EWT tour are Outlaw in this one and some of the Outlaw's are amateur's.

No video footage on youtube yet. Does anyone have a link for the event? I would of thought that there would of been some sort of footage on the Centurion website.
