gopro housing replacement
 

i broke the bottom of my housing where you attach it to mounts. Luckily the housing didnt crack because we were on water. I need to get a new housing but not necessarily a back door. Its for a hero4 silver that has the LCD screen. Wanted to see if anyone has had luck with an aftermarket housing or if i should stick with one from gopro

I don't know how old your GoPro is but I did the same thing to my hero 4 housing and I called GoPro and they warrantied me a new one. I never tried any aftermarket housings.

how old was yours when you did that? Do you know if there are warranty time limitations?

Not sure how old it was at the time, it was a few years ago. I didn't know if anything was covered or not but but snapped my housing tabs and 2 sticky mounts and called and they had me take pictures of them and sent me new ones. I don't know their limitations but its worth a call to them to see if they can help you out

thanks for the advice. I contacted GoPro and they are sending me a replacement.
Sent me this reply:
