Need help picking a wakeboard boat
Ok I am looking for a wakeboard boat that has a great wakesurf wave ,but also has a clean wakeboard wake. I know most surf boats that have a deep v are hard to clean up wake when boarding. I want to try to stay around $70k and boat needs to be around 22ft any suggestions??

You can be in that price range with a new MC X-10. It will do all the things you are looking for: Great surf wave and clean wakeboard wake, even at slower speeds.

No profile. First post. Use the search function. Not the best way to get answers by asking something like "Yea I like the way apples taste, but they need to be orange, and have the smooth texture of a banana when you eat them..." That's what you did.
I would look at an Axis and stay under 70. Members here have posted great wake and surf pics and amazing data to support these boats being fuel efficient. |

I am new to ww and I have a 2012 axis which has a great wakeboard wake but you have to spend 45 min filling up plug n play and a 1100 and a 450 to get a Decent Surfwave then on top of that it does not handle the rough water on the weekends very well. Since all I can do is surf after my injury but my partner in the boat still likes to wakeboard we are looking at other options to save time on water. I live in Atl Ga and would like the boat we get to be some what close within at the furthest 60 to 80 miles closer would be great

Here's a nice video of the different models of Tige's with their new Convex VX. I feel that Tige's handle rough water very well.

for starters - don't listen to salesmen at the dealership. Every boat has all kinds of sales fodder they use to promote their brand and knock others.
Go look at as many boats as you can and then make a list of items you want. If you need help with the list, ask us. In the end, pick the one that checks the most boxes on your list. |
If you are going to keep the boat a long time I would consider the reliability of the boat to be my top concern. Do your research! A lot banks offer 15 year loans on boats, but how many boats will last 15 years with your desired amount and type of use? Which boats are susceptible to stress cracks? How hard is the boat to repair them? Can you repair a boat with a metal flake type finish? Is the engine always under extreme load? Etc...

should have started with your second post. and itemize what you want out of a boat in a particular order ... bottom line still just do some research ... everyone on here has their own opinion and its been developed through others comments and their own research. if i have 70k to buy a boat for surfing with a good wake board wake i buy an F21 or F24 tomcat ... others would buy a Tige.

It is crazy that 70k is now basically limiting yourself to a high end 20' boat or a more budget friendly bigger boat. If you don't like the fill times maybe the answer is something with a surf system that can be weighted evenly or something with a gravity filled ballast system.
Although we haven't seen it yet the new 22' MB tomcat is something I would consider. To get a truly great surf wake you may have to plumb in a 500 or so in the rear lockers but then you are only waiting 5 minutes or so for ballast pumps to fill the surf side ballast. It should be under 70k by 5 or 10k. An Axis A22 with the surfgate might be a solid option. I would definately take a look at the Mojo or Mondo. The Tige Z1 might also be a nice option. If you can get an X10 for close to that I would definitely check it out. |

axis a22 best boat for the money i feel. you can be under 70 brand new. and it can handle a **** load of weight. it throws one of the best wakeboard wakes and a pretty good surf wake. and i feel its the best looking boat out. the interior is a little plain but the boat is a riders boat. i didnt get it to bump tunes on a sand bar or a tie up some where i got it to ride. and that is what this boat was built for. and it doesnt take 45 min to fill. for surfing i can fill 1100 locker and hard tank surf side, center hard and bow pnp, 800 flat sac on floor and 1000 bow triangle in 20 min. about 5 min before all the girls are done getting ready so it works out nice.

At around 70k, you might be able to get a Centurion Enzo/FX22 with Ramfill and CATS

I think just about everybody is getting 70K plus once you get to the 22 footers!! Or atleast asking 70K+!!

the fx22 is considered top of the line. I am sure you could do an Avalanche or an Elite V C4 for less.
