Ok here are some pictures of my new MB. (For all the MB haters please just refrain from negative comments)

ixfe 05-30-2012 10:14 AM

That is probably my favorite color scheme I've seen on a new MB... very classy without being boring.

Trailer wheels looks sweet!

Seeing the pic of your transom step reminds me of the one thing that frustrated me most about my last MB... that step has no SeaDek on it, just textured fiberglass. Be careful... that textured fiberglass will not hold a wet foot. It gets really slick and that's where everybody will step getting in and out of the boat.

polarbill 05-30-2012 10:18 AM

So sick. Great work on the colors.

ScottR 05-30-2012 10:25 AM

DBC...agree completely...already met the water from that step. Going to get some black Seadek or something like it to put around it.

wakebrdjay 05-30-2012 10:26 AM

Awesome lookin' nice job!

Oh just for fun, here is my barn too....just cleaned and organized so pretty happy with way it turned out.

hunter660 05-30-2012 10:27 AM

Sweet. I like the colors too. :)

wakebrdjay 05-30-2012 10:27 AM

Registration #'s look sweet also.

05-30-2012 10:28 AM

Too bad you have to store it in such a sucky garage :)

diamonddad 05-30-2012 10:30 AM

Very nice! I dig your timeless design!

hunter660 05-30-2012 10:35 AM

Dosn't the 23TWB already have seadek there?

ScottR 05-30-2012 10:38 AM

Jon - not sure, but they really should go ahead and put it there. Maybe I will contact MB direct and ask if they have that piece already and if I can just buy it.

bcrider 05-30-2012 10:40 AM

That is a nice lookin boat. No "X" and simple. Screw you on your shop too!! Jealous.

jhartt3 05-30-2012 10:42 AM

Nice ... This is the boat i'm going to buy whenever i can afford to upgrade my hydrodyne

ScottR 05-30-2012 10:48 AM

Thanks guys....

I really liked the classy lines this boat put off. I didn't want a real "baller" boat and wanted something I could be proud of yet still look pretty "cool" so to speak.
Being 37 and having 4 kids on the boat all the time I wanted more of a family look, without giving up the cool factor. I think this boat does that. I love the boatmate trailer, I really think it sets this boat off and sets it apart from other MB's out there. I am thinking of getting the same rims for my truck, but wondering if that would be too much.

Also, yeah my barn is great. Bought it about a year ago. It is 100 yards from my house on the lot next to me. Ended up stealing the lot and barn for half of what the guy paid for it. He was about to go bankrupt and I made him a low ball offer he took. Took alot of time to clean her up and get the acre of weeds under control but well worth it. As you can see I have alot of extra space for more toys down the road.

hunter660 05-30-2012 10:49 AM

I had SeaDek number in my phone and was about to press send when I thought to look at my pictures. I think it does. BTW, domednumbers.com has MB font now. They are sending me some images as we speak.

ScottR 05-30-2012 10:51 AM

Jon - could you find out if SeaDek has something for the 21' boats for that spot?

ScottR 05-30-2012 11:01 AM

Jon - those are huge pictures....what are they for? See Seadek in one of them on the spot we are talking but why the color chart and first picture?

hunter660 05-30-2012 11:04 AM

Sorry, they were huge!!! Didn't realize that. I had a couple requests for images of the domed numbers.

I'm sure SeaDek can help you. I'm getting the 23TWB which looks like it comes with the step covered already. Maybe it's the same?

ScottR 05-30-2012 11:07 AM

lol yeah they were huge.

Anyway, when are you getting your boat? When you do maybe we can compare sizes of that step and see. That picture you had up had it covered that was for sure. Mine doesn't. What colors did you go with too..?

hunter660 05-30-2012 11:08 AM

My gel is the same as yours. Vinyl is different though. Ships next Wednesday.

tyler97217 05-30-2012 11:13 AM

She is purdy!

wakedaveup 05-30-2012 11:16 AM

Very clean boat! Congrats!

bruizza 05-30-2012 11:17 AM

I love your boat but I love your barn way more!

ixfe 05-30-2012 11:30 AM

The 23 TWB has SeaDek on the step. But it also has a smaller step, so the size is different.

I went a few rounds with MB and my dealer last season about that step. Bottom line, I never could get a piece out of them to cover it. It has something to do with the fact that all the SeaDek on the boat comes pre-cut from SeaDek with a beveled edge. So it's not a simple as MB just cutting a piece out for the larger step on the 21 foot boats. I doubt they even have sheets of SeaDek sitting around their shop. They would have to go to SeaDek, just like you can do.

If you call SeaDek, they might be able to make one to match, complete with the beveled edge, which would be sick. I assume it would stick okay to the pebbled surface of that textured fiberglass. At a minimum they should be able to get you a piece that is just straight cut. If I still had my F21, I would have resolved this issue. But really, this is a minor gripe and should be an easy fix.

Oh, and I hate you for having that barn!! So dope. But with all that space, why settle for a 21 foot boat?? You could park TWO F24's in there!! Haha!!!

downfortheride 05-30-2012 11:34 AM

Congrats!!! Love the look of your boat. I was looking at the same design when I order mine but didn't like the all white look to much. Went with the all white with silver X.
The barn is awesome!!!

ScottR 05-30-2012 11:36 AM

Good info DBC....very true about just calling SeaDek themselves. I think I may start there.

The 21' was bigger than my 23' Epic on the interior room. So, when I found that out I just didn't need to spend the extra 6-8k on the 2'. Decided that the extra space the 21' provided over my last boat was room enough. I think I could actually get 5 boats in that barn if done right. (4 would be easy but I think I could do 5 with some work)

Oh and the F24 isn't out of the question. Like CHATT I have sold my last 2 boats after one season, so may do that again after this year and try the F24. Depending on what I can get out of the Widebody in 4 months. :D

johnboyy7 05-30-2012 12:58 PM

not a big fan of MB designs but this one looks nice.

slipknot 05-30-2012 1:10 PM

My 2011 came with the seadeck on the step.

Maybe something changed in the 12 models.

nothing major... just a complete redesign of the entire topdeck. Hehehe :D

the step is now twice as wide as your boat.

brucemac 05-30-2012 5:31 PM

congrats! nice looking boat!

bushtree 05-30-2012 10:02 PM

If seadeck comes thru for you on that step, please let met know. I'd be interested in a piece for my F21 as well.

stxr_racer 05-30-2012 10:45 PM

Looks great...I like it!

ScottR 05-31-2012 6:47 AM

Thanks for all the compliments on the boat and garage. I am happy with the way both turned out and function. Now, if summer would just hit I would be more happy. 60s today. After 80s all week. Looks like weekend is high only in the 60s. I know for you die hard guys you ride in whatever, but can't with the family.

Nick - will do. Wonder why the 2011's have that and at least my 2012 doesn't have the SeaDek. hmmmmm why take out a smart thing?

hunter660 05-31-2012 6:50 AM

Scott R, I think it was you I talked to a couple years ago about getting a pull behind your Epic when you first got it. How far south do you come to ride?

ScottR 05-31-2012 6:57 AM

Yeah I have talked to alot of guys when I had my Epics and gave several pulls on those boats. I am in Indiana and get to Tennessee usually once a year at Dale Hollow but this year we aren't going. Patoka Lake in southern Indiana is as far as I am coming this year it looks like. 3 weeks from now. Where are you at?

hunter660 05-31-2012 6:59 AM

I'm in Western KY. I'll be on Rough River a lot this summer.

I keep trying to plan a trip to Dale Hollow, but it hasn't happened yet.

ScottR 05-31-2012 7:02 AM

If you have never been there it is well worth the trip. Lake is amazing. Bad part is it is in the middle of nothing. So no cell phones, hell no towns really. But clear clean water and huge so you can always find glass.

dellagucci 06-01-2012 8:23 AM

Nice barn.. You need more toys tho.. Luke 4 dirtbikes 2 snowmobiles, a classic chevrolet And a nice new cummins. I'm still jealous

ScottR 06-01-2012 8:55 AM

Barn gets more attention than the boat does....hahaha

Barn needs more toys for sure, thinking Quad for me and two small ones for my 2 boys. (my girls can ride too if they want) Also, down the road thinking basketball goal in there along with netting to hit golf balls.

I am with you but I like the full fenders.

andrew_moreton 06-01-2012 9:22 AM

Jon and Scott,

Who are your MB dealers in southern Indiana and western Kentucky? I live in Dallas, but my parents have a place on Kentucky Lake. Would love to know whose MB region that is. Great looking boats, just got mine last week!

Andrew

ScottR 06-01-2012 10:57 AM

Andrew - I bought mine out of Alabama.....Indiana doesn't have a dealer in the entire State

Mark - That is just plain gorgous...not my choice of color but "she" could hang out in my garage all day and I would never tire of looking at "her"

Andrew

My guess would be Billy Taylor from Performance Watersports. I'd be happy to give them a pull in a few weeks when my boat shows up if they are interested.

cwb4me 06-01-2012 6:54 PM

Great looking boat Scott! Clean and simple. Love that garage!!! Are you sure it's big enough for the boat?:D

brycejb328 06-02-2012 6:03 AM

If i were to order an MB right now... I would want it to look exactly like this!!

Truly one of the best looking boats i've ever seen

Jealous of your boat storage accomodations

ralph 06-02-2012 8:19 PM

Hi Scott, could compare the Mb wake to the epic? I've ridden the epic with full belly, 1/4 in one rear and 1/2 the other, was super tall and booty. We don't have any mb's here and i would def consider one if the wake performance was anything like the epic for size and hardness.

hunter660 06-03-2012 6:59 AM

Scott, I look at your pictures every day in anticipation of my boat showing up. Hope you had fun on the water this weekend. Do you have an shots of the boat in the sun?

gunz 06-03-2012 11:17 AM

Killer set up,all of it!

Im just gonna go out back and throw rocks and mine now.........

johnny_defacto 06-03-2012 11:20 AM

If I ordered an MB, I would do that.... very nice.

ScottR 06-04-2012 6:58 AM

We have had 60's all weekend here so no shots of boat or wake on water. I promise I will get them, but with kids and all we aren't on the water like alot of you on here. I am not sure on comparision yet from my Epic to my MB. As soon as I ride enough to compare I will shoot out a thread in comparsion. My hope is MB is actually not quite as steep and a bit more beefy. We will see. I know for now the surf wave is hands down WAY WAY better. I have had my kids on it and had it as big as I could STOCK and she looked great. Again full comparison's to come, but surfing I can already tell is much better.

Yeah not sure the storage I have is quite big enough for the boat. But I will have to make it work. Sorta depressing I know...

Thanks for all the compliments. I love how no one really has posted anything similiar to my MB yet. Means I found something that is exactly what I wanted. Classic yet unique!

22vdrive 06-04-2012 8:47 AM

Nice boat love the simplicity of it and the fact that it still has the same tower as the 2010 models. I thought they came
Out with a new tower do the Mb's?

Yea its on the new 24, not sure if they are offering it on all the boats though. That tower looks nicer than the new one....not a fan of the forward facing towers unless they are solid cast alum like the old bu's and the new tiges.

ScottR 06-11-2012 8:27 AM

Joey - Agree, the old bu's black tower is my favorite tower of all time. I would love to see that tower on this boat.

ScottR 06-11-2012 8:28 AM

could someone photoshop that for me possibly? Just for ****s....forward facing black Bu tower on my boat picture with the truck?

FunkyBunch 06-11-2012 8:39 AM

Scott I have some work coming this fall with photoshop and some towers on the MB's. I think a Z3 tower would look awesome on the MB.

ScottR 06-11-2012 8:59 AM

Totally agree!
