wakeboarding / camping in Florida

I'm thinking about tent camping early fall on a lake. Which lake Im no sure about. Thats where you come in.
Can anyone suggest a good camp site or cabin rental place? Wife, dog, three kids, boat.
Im in Naples / Marco Island so the closer the better. I cant find any place on Placid and Istakpoga seems to be a little thick with green toothy critters. True? Not true?
Any suggestions would be great.
thanks.

I was just north of there in Pine Island several years ago, I only had a waverunner but it was a blast wakeboarding in the intercoastal waterway with the dolfins!

I just found out about a place called Lazy Springs outside of Ft. Myers. It is an ATV park with camping, airsoft/paintball, and they also have a ski lake. It is $10/person + $10 per toy your bring with you. I'm hoping to check it out once the weather cools a bit.

Thanks, that look interesting. i might have to take a drive over and check it out. I dont think those agro ponds will support an inboard but we could take the wheelers and PB markers out anyway. Over the holidays would be pretty good.

I know they have a ski show team that performs during the winter months. Granted they are not using a slammed wake boat but it may still work. If I make it out this week I will update you on what I find out.
