New 2014 VLX
We picked up our new Malibu VLX yesterday.
REally happy with how it turned out, colors are orange, white, and charcoal metal flake. we had a local audio place install some rev 10's along with a sub and they are powering rev10's with a 500 watt RF. Is that enough? Everywhere I have read you need atleast 300 per can. What do you think?http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/...s8201fd9a.jpeg http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/...s3761c4be.jpeg |
I'd want to be 400-550 RMS on the rev 10s per pod.

Sweet VLX by the way! Post pics of the install when it's done!

its done, first pic shows them installed

Congrats on the new ride! I love the silver flake in the middle. classy! Have fun!

That is an awesome color combo. Just enough bling to make it pop but not in your face. Excellent work
As far as the power. We need a little more on the exact model of that RF. If it's a punch 500.2 don't take your stereo back to whatever shop did your install because they do not know what they are doing. That's a 150w to each REV 10 which is way underpowered. You need at least 300 going to each. You basically bought a Bentley(rev10's) only to find out it has a Fiat motor under the hood (rf 500.2 amp). That's the amp for a pair of pro 60's. Anyone in the stereo business should have easily caught that. Spend the cash on a good amp or u basically wasted your money on Rev10's . They are powered at about a 1/3 of what they can handle. Throw 400 watts at each speaker and enjoy them to the fullest. |
You got Kinged LOL the revs need more power.
|
Beauty! Look forward to seeing that on the water. Where do you hang out?
