Removing Neoprene from Seat

This summer I left my daughters neo life jacket on one of my seat cushions. The summer heat melted some of the neo onto one of our seat cushions. Do you guys have any tips on how I could remove this?

Thanks!

Dave

Was it the silk screening on the life life jacket or was it the black foam of the neoprene?

looks to be at least the neoprene. All I can see is a thin layer of 2" x 3" neoprene on the seat.

Neoprene is a latex type of plastic, if I remember right, and some type of solvent might eat it away but not the vinyl. Maybe put petroleum jelly on it and see if that would soften it. I'm just guessing here.

maybe try goof off? Should be able to pick it up in home depot or wal-mart

I thought about goof off as well, but wasnt sure if it would harm the seats?

Goof off won't harm the vinyl, i've used it before. You might also try heating it with a hair dryer and try rolling it off with your hand, heat put it there and might take it back off.
