What boat would you buy with 60k?

Working on my budget and goals led me down the rabbit hole of looking at used boats.

For a fun mental exercise and daydreaming what boat would you buy and why?

Rules;
2013 or Newer
Price limit of 60K
50/50 time split between surfing and wakeboarding.

I have experience with the whole axis line up and the majority of the line of malibu boats but limited with everything else.

The 2017 A20 with the hull redesign is killer, or would you prefer a 2015 T23 with the older interior? I see some r20s, z3's, a lot of supremes, and a random SupraSA350 on there. If you are buying a boat-based off-budget, are you factoring fuel consumption, cost of repairs?

So what would you buy, and why?

I have a 19 F21 Tomcat that i may let go for a little bit more than that at some point this summer.

i would get the newest axis a22, i could get with that amount of money. best wake and wave for the money...

2015 or 2016 Moomba Mojo or Craz.

What i did was buy a 2011 Nautique 230 for that money. It has a really good wakeboard wake at the speed I ride at (22.4MPH), a great surf wave, and is 23’ so it fits a lot of people. The years are outside your parameters though. Given that, I’d probably echo the a22 or maybe a Supra SA 350.

good point Hal. I do wonder how some of these older boats with GSA or a suck gate compares to some of these newer small boats with a surf system.

I like the Axis A22 but it always seemed to struggle at altitude with the 409 and I could never fully fill the plug n plays. I didn't get to play with different props.

So really, I guess can change it for fun.

On onlyinboards.com what boat would you take if you had to spend up to 60k? Would you go older like a 2nd Gen Xstar and throw GSA on it or get an older MB and swap the GSA Tabs?

It’ll be good to get some data points on Heyday. Definitely keep us posted.

I would be really curious to hear some input on those boats.

There are some WT-1 rentals here on lake Washington for $500 a day. Might be worth checking out for me since I’m boat less currently.

I have a 2018 Moomba Max for sale, right at 60k. Pretty good bang for the buck IMO, and lots of warranty left..... Just took it in trade, and we are doing the used check and detailing now.
