Yeah it does look very expensive. It looks more suited for big travel trailers. I would love to see a lighter duty version for medium sized half ton loads. I'm curious how well it works but it definitely seems like a great idea.

Would it not be smart to build this into the hitch itself? Seems easy to do.

I think the hitch probably is a better place for it because it would need to be adjustable I would think for the different load ranges.

$489 so yeah not cheap at all.
