Loading the line is very important to getting big air for your jumps. An easy way to learn is to cut out for a heelside approach. Then keeping the handle low and and in towards your hip a little, stomp on the gas and cut in hard. You will notice that all the slack in the line dissappears. Now the line is "loaded" so to speak. Keep working on this until you can get all the way to the wake without getting slack in the line. Then you will notice some major improvement in your jumps. The best way to set it up is to cut out hard and then wait for a sec or two so the boat can pull most of the slack out. Then slowly cut in harder and harder. This is called a progressive edge, and is what you will hear everyone talk about in all the other messages. This is the key to pushing all your tricks to the next level. Without a good edge, loaded line, and good pop you will never get anything big. Just keep the board edging in harder and harder while keeping the slack out of the line and you will be going big in no time hope this helps.

Ride On

Robby Rentfrow
