good budget surf board

So I've be riding a hyperlite broadcast 4'9" for years and never could quit keep up with the wake when I go to do a 360. I have no problem ride and slashing around with out the rope.

So last night I got to ride a Phase 5 Oogle and on my second try on a 360 I pulled it like it was nothing and did probably 5 more one after another. I would spin reset in the pocket and then do another one.

So is there anything like a phase 5 Oogle a little cheaper.

The Oogle is only about $200 more than the broadcast - if it's that much of an upgrade, save your pennies and go for it. Or find a used one!

Yea I thought they were a lot more expensive.

What do you think of the Oogle, obviously I like the way it spins but it was a little sketchy trying to carve.

I'm the wrong person to ask - not a real hardcore surfer.. but I ride a pretty slippery skim-style myself (Calibrated Piscus). You'll get used it it.

Its a decent skim board. Mid level pricing at around $500 makes it a good durable ride.

Personally I ride glass custom boards and have never looked back!

if you don't want to spend too much you're in the wrong sport!

If you can get a used Oogle or Drew Daniello they are similar in ride...
