Turtle wax black box kit

Any one tried this on there black boat.

What is the reason for not using a car wax?

I did Grant's cut and polish with get results but the I keep my black boat out side 365 days a year and the black look great for about two weeks. But after I spend hours using 3M compound, finest, hand glaze and Maguire's synthetic boat wax. It started to fade again.

So last week I had alittle time before we hit the lake so I hit the back of the boat with the finest and the black wax from my turtle wax black box kit and it looked great.

Is there any reason I couldn't use it on the rest of the boat.

You can use them. They are just geared two different ways.. Car wax is to rejuvenate painted surfaces, boat wax is for Gelcoat. The black box is a "Hide" wax...
It won't last long on a boat. Boat wax is geared for harsh environments

Makes since

I think I just need to find a better wax than the liquid Maguire's synthetic I have been using.

I looked up Collinite wax. What make it different than the other marine wax.

If it is oxidizing again that quickly, you didn't do something right. Cutting through ALL the oxidation and then polishing back to original shine BEFORE using any glaze or wax will keep it looking like that until the sun degrades it again, months or years depending on the exposure.
Why not throw a full length cover over it when stored?

At the end of the summer I'm going to get one that drops down farther and covers the platform too.

I'm going to hit it with the finest again and re-wax a small section at a time this time. What I just re-hit looks much better, I think I get to A.D.D when I'm polishing and run all over the place instead of concentrating on one area.
