Supra SC Wakesurf Wave Setup
 

Anyone have suggestions for the optimal wave setup? Wake plate, swell plate settings, and ballast setup? I think I have the wakeboard wake pretty dialed, but not the wakesurf wave.

That set up should work really well. We run it regularly and will usually bump up the front ballast 10 and the opposite surf side 10 and move passengers to the surf side. If people want to sit wherever then, run that setup. Today we ran it without swell and listed it old fashion style and really got an awesome wave. Hit me up PM if you have any questions.

I have been using same set up posted by Diggs. But run faster closer to 11.5 instead of 10.6.

My guess is we are running closer to your speed as well Kevin. We run in a river so it is hard with GPS to get an accurate speed.

Right now I have the upgraded rear sacks (750s), the center tank, and the front sack (650 I think?), which I believe add up to about 2900 lbs.

Are you adding any more weight for wakesurfing or wakeboarding? If so, how much and where?The wakeboarding wake is really good, but I would like to make it a little better. I usually will have about 2 adults in the boat and three little guys. I am trying to make my wake similar to the feel of my SANTE 210 (obviously not as narrow, but that explosive vertical pop). I am mostly interested in the wakeboarding wake, but this boat is also getting me more into wakesurfing.

I had them custom built at Barefoot international. They are basically Enzo bags with 12 inch shorter arms.
Probably gives me a true 1200 on each side + the hard tanks.

I am running the 750's in the rear as well and then a couple hundred pounds of lead scattered in the boat. For surfing just putting our biggest dudes back in that corner. That makes a HUGE difference. If we don't have many people then I throw a 600lb bag on the floor of the surf side in the cabin.
For wakeboarding I have kind of figured out to drop some rear weight. I just set the rears to 50%. I have not gotten out and ridden it, but just from looks. I had shoulder surgery, so not sure I will get back there this year. I can get away with surfing it.

Ok, I think have the wakeboard wake dialed now. I am running 100% in the center/front and then 100% in each rear bag. The big difference is that I have the wake plate at 0 (all the way up). The wakeboard wake is excellent and that is only with 1 adult and about 125 pounds of three little guys (5 month old, 3 year old, and 5 year old) . I will get a picture or video and post it up.

I am still working on dialing the wakesurf wake, but I am going to try your suggestions next time out. For wakesurfing is the skim or barrel better for new surfers?

We strictly use the skim, but up to your preference

The skim is probably better for new surfers. The barrel is decent depending on what you want to do or your style. It leaves a nice lip along the top of the wave to play with and air off of.

I adjusted my SA to the this latest set-up and it was great. I was running 100% in the front and 0% wake plate. I surf goofy and have a 750 lb bag starboard and the standard flex bag in port with both at 100%. I took the front down to 40% and the wake plate to 45 and it was better. I use barrel as it is much better than skim for me. I tried skim with this setup and it was better than before but not as good as barrel.

Would mind send me all the dimensions that you used? Here is what I found on the BI website for the Enzo bag: DIMENSIONS: body- 30 x 25 x 26 arm- 72 x 25 x 12

Tell them to take 12 inches off the arm length and put the fittings in the same location as your current bags.

Body 30x25x26
Arm 60x25x12

This gives you around 4000 pounds of hidden ballast with the flip of a switch. Pretty sweet.
