Hey guys thinking of plumbing ballast into 2005 Ebbtide 210....what should I do? I have 2 250lb and 1 540 lb fat sac....just wanna make it easier to fill/empty sacs instead of moving pump from bag to bag....lemme know guys!! All opinions are appreciated

make sure to get some weigh up front. weve got a 220 sea ray, and our boat would rather have 650 lbs up front. then 650 lbs in the front AND 750 in the rear.

Why is that? Is the out drive pull our sterns under further than others?

hey guys thanks .....but now what kinda prop are yall using? we want one to be able to plane off quickly...

def. get a lower pitch prop....you may have to experiment with a few to find what works more most of time with what ever weight config + people you have. We just used to buy aluminum props...they are cheaper and you dont feel so bad when you replace it with an even lower pitch. <BR> <BR>we were torque hungry and didn't care how fast the boat went so you have to consider all that....finally you may have to keep an eye on the rpm so you dont go over....if you happen to drop the pith a lot.

I believe we have a 18 pitch prop on there now dad wanted a 16 or 14 can't remember........ Lou you ever get a new prop? How'd it work and what is it?

I am David,s dad. We have 4 people in the main compartment of out boat yesterday.,We filled the 750lb fat sac and had it in the bow on the floor. The wake was amazing. It was hard crisp and huge. I had the trim set at 4 speed at 22.7 on the PP stargazer. I have a Bravo 3 outdrive with 22 pitch props( we had 24 pitch, I changed them to plane faster)

yeah I mean we have a 550 in the ski locker and a 250 on each side. I ride at 75' at about 23-24mph....just wondering if i should have more weight....cause usually its one behind boat and two in boat...

I run a 22' Cobalt with 1100 up front and 540 in the rear. All is plumbed in, fill/drain on the fly at the flip of a switch.

Bill...does the front sink down a lot? I'm tryin to get as much info as I can so when we go up at end of October for last weekend of year we can get all this plumbed in and all....also what configuration you using with weight...thanks

It rides a little low in the front when full, but no more than any other boat would. Only takes a little roller over the bow if I have 3-4 peeps up front. I have 2 400# sacs up front in the stirage compartments and 300# of sand bags in the ski locker. Then have 2 260# side sacs in the rear on either side of the engine. <BR> <BR>Running 2 Jabsco pumps. One fills the fronts and the other fills the rears. Each pump has its own 1" thru hull and switch on the dash. Each sac has its own vent so I know when they are full. When I drain, each pump pumps out thru the rear vents so I know when each pump is done. <BR> <BR>Takes about 12 minutes to fill/drain.

Mine is a Volvo outdrive so they are sized differently with duoprops. It came with an F6, and I switched to an F4 set. Kind of like going from a 21 to a 17 or thereabouts. Way better holeshot and speed control at boarding speed. Picked up abou 600 rpm on topend so I have to watch the revs at WOT.

I believe thats what mine is......a volvo outdrive... But yeah where you get prop from? and thanks for the advice its really helpful

I found my f4 set on ebay. Sold my f6 props on ebay as well. Actually made a few bucks as well.
