Just wanted to give thanks on Veterans Day to those who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces of this great country. It's because of great people like you that I get to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities I have here. Thank you for all you do, it's not forgotten! And to my boarding buddies in Iraq, miss you all, and come back safe!

I am a Navy Veteran, and compete in the Veteran's Wakeboard Division... what does that make me? Just an old Navy guy that likes to have fun. Thanks to the Veterans that Fight to protect our freedom.
I was a cook and did not see any fighting... just in the food lines.
Aloha Joe.

bg__dereks_mom 11-12-2009 11:00 AM

Oh Joe. I think you completely underestimate yourself. I bet 3 times a day, you and your fellow cooks were the most important sailors aboard ship.
Thanks for keeping the rest well nourished.

Ben, good thread...yes Vet Day is a time to reflect as a soldier myself (17 years and still going).

glassywater09 11-13-2009 10:55 PM

Hey, is it ok to be a 60 yr old Viet Nam Vet and wanting to get a Back Roll? Was thinking this could be against the law past 60? Thanks for Vet post, a warmer welcome than we saw in those years!
BTW it would be nice if we'd just quit sending young guys to war...
