Something that has never been done before..
Does anyone have any cool ideas for something that has never been done before in wakeboarding that could be attemped? Could include kickers, etc. Needing ideas for local event and sponsors.

slim chance 7?

I don't personally, but I recently saw a vid of Mike Dowdy working on some pretty crazy ****.

Triple flip??

Any videos of this no handed raley? that sounds scary as ...

Off the kicker spin with staggered barrels in your path. You leave the ramp and turn your board 90 degrees (so you're facing forward) before hitting the first barrel on your right side with the tip of your board. That hit starts you spinning clockwise and you make it around exactly 360 degrees before you hit the barrel on your left, which initiates a counter-clockwise spin of 360 degrees before you land. Barrel assisted 720 rewind??

Double tantrum to blind.
|
That's crazy due to how awkward of a spin that would be. I would love to see some footy of Adam doing the Slimchance 7. I wanted Andrew Akison do the no handed raley a few years back for a demo at an INT comp. I believe he called it the suicide raley (could be wrong) and it was huge, arms were extended all the way out to his side and he just floated in the air staring at the handle, it was insane.

double tumble turn

Has anyone tried an osmosis invert, I think an osmosis truck-driver roll to blind would be sick, not to mention insanely difficult.
Rusty could probably do it :p |

Three of them I can think of that i can't believe haven't been done (let me clarify, by done, I mean included as common tricks, even off the wake, not done once by parks 15 years ago off a double up.)
TS whirly, SOB aka HS big worm aka ole hs mobe 5, and osmosis backside spins |

I've got a nice road gap waiting to be done .... probably easiest on the "T" to the right
.... I guess it was sort of done in 12 honkeys and that other flick where Parks does the U-haul gap https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...572_8574_n.jpg |
& Derek here's your ole hs mobe 5, Harley even had time to throw a nose grab on it lol

Vinny,
Thanks for the SOB aka ole hs mobe 5, that is so great, of course Harley has it. It is crazy that is not a staple trick as the big worm has been done for so long Sean is doing a big worm, which is the same-ish rotation as the hs mobe 5. I am talking about ts backroll with ole backside 360, same-ish rotation as a whirly. |

I'm the first comment. How could I have forgotten lol
Good find on the underwhirly! |
Standing wake pool. Similar to standing wave pool but somehow creating a standing wake to jump while having rope tied to a fixed tie point. Sort've like when wake skaters session a culvert with rushing water.

I'm no engineer but it seems it would pretty easily figured out. Make the pool 10' deep. An adjustable (up an down and listable) and a way to force the water underneath and past the hull. The hard part would be designing a recirc system for the moving water. With enough money it's doable!

OOOH!, I never thought of having a stationary hull where water is pushed past it. I was thinking more of something like the shape of a wake /-----\ just below the water with water rushing past it. With the stationary hull, I would think the water would have to be pushed from in front of it and maintain energy all the way back to where the person would be hitting the wake. Interesting concept regardless, someone smart needs to get to work.

What it would take is 2 ea. 10' deep tanks on either side of the man made wake.... These would have to be sort of like the endless pools you see advertised on TV, but with just more power to move the water at around say 25 m.p.h. These would be your takeoff and landing points. Then between the tanks you have your wake, which is a fine tuned wrestling mat in the shape of a wake. Water would then have to be propelled over the mat in the center at atleast 6" inches deep to keep the board from contacting the wake.
Option #2.... What if you had a wakeboat on a set of tracks on the bottom of a lake/ river, no driver it just runs on a set path. This would make for some helluva straight runs, and some perfect dbl ups. Plus would be way cheaper than the fake wake. |
Or we need a cable park that is set up to pull a wake boat around in a circle. Or even a huge ball you could jump the wake behind.

Board from contacting the mat*** Sorry
