Where to put wakesurf board?

I have a (new to me) 2007 X-15 with a clamp down wakeboard rack on one side and what I am told is a water ski rack on the other.

Stupid question......can I put our new wakesurf board into the wakeboard rack and clamp it down? I don't want to wreck the board or the foam pads on the board. The wakeboard rack is the only one that almost fits between the foam pads on the board.

Thanks for the help....

You might be able to replace the Fork on your Holders, something like this:

Thanks for the link...so I assume then it's not a good idea to put the board in the wakeboard rack and clamp it down?

Simple. Go low tech and first put your hand in there so you can feel what kind of pressure is put on it as you squeeze down.

While, the OP did post a surfboard question in the Wakeboarding Discussion folder. So that might say something about surfer intelligence. Just kidding.

Where to put wakesurf board?

I chose to post the question in the wakeboard forum as it was a question about a wakeBOARD rack......

I think people that support and regularly use surfboards would be more helpful. But, that's just me.

Thanks for the reply, I've just re-posted in the surf forum to see what they say. My original thought was that "surfers" would likely not know as much about wakeboard racks and how much pressure they exert on the board.

Oh good grief. Bunch of keyboard warriors sounding like they're too good for surfing. On the other hand, it isn't rocket science. If the surf board fits in the racks, use them. If not, look for other options. The clamps don't clamp down all that tight.

Wake surf boards are like fat chicks.
