Perfect pass?

What do you all set the Jew at? Factory norm I guess is 90 but I just got it and am trying to figure out benefits of it being up or down. Btw I have a sanger v210 with 2k in ballast and a acme 911

Pad1Tai 05-12-2013 8:41 AM

I set the Jew to the Rabbi...

Dmac420sj 05-12-2013 8:45 AM

Lmao!!!! Auto correct! Kdw

bryce2320 05-12-2013 9:41 AM

I havent used my PP yet, but I believe the KDW needs to be set lower or higher, depending on how hard PP engages. If it sets real hard or has a hard time picking up the speed, then I would mess with it. Have you tried PP yet at the factory setting?

Dmac420sj 05-12-2013 9:48 AM

Ya but was wondering if there were any advantages for different thing one way or another.

bryce2320 05-12-2013 9:50 AM

How hard did the PP engage with it at the normal setting? If it was smooth, I'd just leave it. But like I said, I've yet to get out to try my PP out yet

I had pp in my old boat frankly could not really ever tell the difference playing with those settings.

When I killed my 4 blade prop once and had to use my 3 blade spare I found that PP was a bit sluggish in getting back up to speed after a hard pull. I set the Kdw higher to compensate. Before that I had left it at the default setting. I've never gotten a jerky pull before but I imagine I might if I had a power prop run from a higher HP engine. In that scenario you may have to set Kdw lower. You give your boat specs when you order PP so theoretically the module you get should already take into account your horsepower and boat type. Prop is probably the major variable unless you bought the PP off of craigslist from someone who had it on a different boat.

With 2K of ballast, I'd start at around 110.... I have mine set at 170 with 4K of ballast.. But I also have stargazer which is a whole lot more accurate than the paddle wheel..

Actually this was on my list to ask. Got a friend with a Calabria with PP. It really struggles to keep up with a wakeboard and over/under corrects pretty badly. Can you guys tell me the base level settings? Right now stock ballast and prop. I think there are like 2 or 3 numbers he has to adjust. Since we are bigger guys, I would like to tighten up the calibration a bunch.

Anybody know the default setting I should start with for wake?

Dmac420sj 05-14-2013 7:41 AM

Kdw 80 is the default

buffalow 05-15-2013 7:13 AM

Hey Chris, Do you know the default on the other settings?

NN - 120 I think
KDW - 180 I think
CS - 2800 I think

boardjnky4 05-15-2013 7:14 AM

why not just do a factory reset if you want to get back to default values?

buffalow 05-15-2013 1:59 PM

Had not considered that at all. Any clue how to do that?

For PP SG it is as follows: turn on boat while pushing on/off and menu then push "up" arrow. I had to look it up this past weekend then is why I know.
