Just put a deposit on a new axis t 22

I know people don't like to chat much about their deals but can anyone chime in on what % of Msrp is typical during negotiations ?

Options include standard 350 engine plug and play ballast wet sounds speakers trailer . Surf gate and rear 900 ballast bags


Also the test drive went great only thing I noticed is a good bit of bow rise while set to surf settings(never really surfed much but hope to start.) is thatpretty typical? (Has 900lb bags in the rear lockers , looks common from what I see online?

Also when all ballast and the wedge down it would not plain to wakeboarding speeds?) 4 adults 2 kids in the boat. I assume I could reprop the boat, although I don't think I will ever need that much weight for wakeboarding , but I would assume I'll need more weight once I get into surfing??

I don't own an axis but I know axis boats like bow weight and typically need it to plane out with wedge down and rear bags filled half way. It sounds like you don't have any ballast up front right now so I would start from there. Someone on here with an axis will chime in shortly and give a better answer

I have similar weight in my VLX, but I run 1000 lbs in the bow. You def need bow weight at least 600 on top of stock. If you still have trouble then prop down but you need bow weight regardless.

Those rear bags are way too big for that boat. I have an A22 with the same motor and trans, and keep in mind the A22 has a heavier bow. Also, I have the high altitude prop. 2519 I think.

If you just want to surf, that might work out, otherwise for wakeboarding, you'll want to trade those bags for 450s or 750s. Here's my set up for riding.

Wedge + stock ballast + plug n play 450s in the rear and the front bag under the cushions.
500 in lead in the walk though pushed all the way forward to the bow.
200-300 in lead scattered around the main cabin.

As mentioned above. The boat needs a lot of bow weight. Not only to plane, but also to narrow the wake. If you don't adequately weight the bow the wake will be super wide and not as big.

I don't surf at all. So I wouldn't know anything about that.

2419? I think that's the most aggressive it gets with the 12 pitch and .075 cup.

What RPM'S are you turnin with that prop?

Extra bow sack, keep the 900's but just fill them less. 2419 in my opinion is A LOT of prop for the 350 with the new gear ratio they started to use in 2015. It was an is the go to prop for prior 2015's 350. I have the 2419 prop but I have the L96 motor which has a different gear ratio.

Bow weight and fill the 900's less...you don't need to get new ballast bags because you'll need the 900's to surf because you will sooner or later.

I have 2014 a20 with 330hp 350. I run 900 bow In mushroom compartment and 750 rear, we don't gave a crowd, I fill 750rears to say 700 plus by burping heavy, run wedge and probably 850 or more in mushroom front 900. I run 1235 ACME,upgrade prop boat at dealer for $100-200 upgrade charge

Fuel and water3500, wedge and equip and driver 1600, no rear seat weight when that much rear water, could use 2 passenger up front for 350 to 400 more and wave would lengthen, without 3.75 high with a nice lip and not as long, we go 10.3mph or less

My Bad. 2419.....not 2519. I have the 2315 also. But it's currently twisted up like a pretzel.

Like most heavily weighted boats I run in the 4000 RPM range when riding. 4200 maybe. The prop is great out of the hole and is very efficient. The only down side is driving out to the ride spot which is about 20 minutes out. We cruise a few mph slower than others.

We partially filled our bags when we ran the big ones. The issue there is the "slosh" effect. When you throttle up, all of the water run towards the back, again extending your time to get on plane. But as pointed out, maybe you're into surfing and thats a good thing. My boat has never been surfed.

No surfing for this guy! I have some custom wakemakers sacs that are 50x20x13 but bulge to around 15" tall so prob in the low 500lb range, I love them because when maxed out I still have half my storage in the back compartments. I'm currently running the stock 2249 but tried the 2313, couldn't feel a big enough difference to spend another $580 on a prop plus I burned about 5 more gallons of fuel with the same setup.

I have a 2015 T22 and run the 2249 prop - fantastic for our uses.

You fill the 900 up and you will need bow weight - simple physics.

We have a t22 coming as well.

I plan on running the SL650 in the bow and 450s in the rear-hoping I don't need to take rear weight out after reading this thread. It is a ~1200/1400 lb split which most boats like but the wedge is another variable.

You guys using the wedge with this set up?

We have the 409 so we're gonna try the OEM prop and upgrade from there. Losing out on the 1.72: with that motor... Thinking about going 5 blade

I don't typically run wedge. I didn't run it when I had my Malibu as well.
