Hey everyone on Wakeworld. Today was a lame day for me. I was laid off. I want to thank you all for the kind words you said about me, and it was really fun to talk to all of you, and hear about how stoked you all are on Slingshot. I enjoyed helping you all select the right board or take care of any problems you had.

Thanks again everyone!

Kyle

daveronix199 02-02-2010 9:39 AM

Kyle,

Best of luck with things sans Slingshot! Anybody who has the interpersonal skills and the outgoing ways that people surrounding this sport have will land on their feet somewhere!

Again, best of luck!

coreym 02-02-2010 9:58 AM

Kyle, sorry to hear buddy. It was great killing time with ya at the boat shows. With as much talent you have and how much people loved you in the wake community I am sure we will see you in the industry. Sorry to hear it buddy. If your in the Seattle area give me a call.

Corey M

bmartin 02-02-2010 11:31 AM

You were great to work with and I am disappointed I will have to go through someone at SS. Good Luck and enjoy the extra free time!

nuckledragger 02-02-2010 11:39 AM

Bummer bro, sorry to hear that. Clear your mind for a little bit and then jump back on the horse. Good luck.

wakebrdr38 02-02-2010 1:07 PM

Thats a bummer, I always had awesome service from you. Hope you get to stay in the industry if thats what you decide is best.

stevo8290 02-02-2010 2:38 PM

well you helped me out, i dont see why they would want to lose such a valuable employee

sidekicknicholas 02-02-2010 2:40 PM

WHAT!
What the sh*t?!
You were slingshot... if any company has half a brain you'll get scooped up.... does that mean things are slow at SS?

kylenautique 02-02-2010 4:00 PM

I'm not going to bash Slingshot. They are a good company and make a good product. Its just a sucky situation for me. Hard times I guess. All I can say is that I did my best in trying to serve everyone all over the world with Wake and kite product problems and questions. I just mainly wanted to thank everyone on wakeworld for all the Slingshot support. I wish Slingshot the best of luck with their new customer service program.

sidekicknicholas 02-02-2010 4:12 PM

Now I feel like I have to baby my stuff... ugh.

I love slingshot, but I may love you more...

Good luck!

kylenautique 02-02-2010 4:20 PM

Haha thanks Nick!

rc005 02-02-2010 5:01 PM

Kyle just keep in mind, if you need a recommendation you have 13,000 on here..

wakerider111 02-02-2010 8:18 PM

you'll always have your admiring and thankfull wakeworld family

waketac 02-02-2010 11:28 PM

Hey Kyle, sorry to hear that. You even helpt me out across the atlantic when I couldn't get a hold of Slingshot-Germany. So thanks a lot again. I really dig slingshotboards but without good customer service it might have been a whole different story. Don't believe that was good decision.

ironj32 02-03-2010 5:50 AM

Kyle! Bummer man. Keep on keepin' on, and good things will happen. I honestly think that you we're a huge reason that the Slingshot experience was so great for so many of us. Good luck!

behindtheboat 02-03-2010 6:13 AM

I was another of many that you helped. Thank you and good luck with whatever may come next

garyw 02-03-2010 8:47 AM

I will be looking forward to good things in the future from you Kyle, Good Luck

adrien 02-04-2010 11:50 PM

For a Slingshot to lay off somebody who has had such a positive influence on their customer... Is Slingshot in trouble? Hope not. I am sorry to hear this Kyle.

So now that you are not bound by them as an employer, whats with the delay on the 2010 boots? Is that a money issue as well?

steezyshots 02-05-2010 8:44 AM

I wouldn't say Slinshot is in trouble, Most of the wake scene is in trouble

wakebrdr38 02-05-2010 10:19 AM

Layoffs dont always mean trouble. Business is business and restructuring can occur for any number of reasons that most likely and hopefully wont ever be discussed on wakeworld. That kind of stuff is talked about behind closed doors for a reason.

flexnwake 02-05-2010 10:40 AM

That is correct assumption. There can be number of reasons for layoff's...

But still a bummer we lost a damn good co-worker.

kylenautique 02-05-2010 3:31 PM

Slingshot is doing fine. They are moving forward with their wake program. Everyone calm down its all good!

I just posted this to say thanks for all the Slingshot support everyone. I have really enjoyed reading all the nice comments everyone has posted on here.

adrien 02-05-2010 7:39 PM

Assuming my first assumption is actually wrong and Slingshot is not in trouble, it will be interesting to see how Slingshot plans to "improve" their customer service program. Seems to me they already had a winning formula with the personal attention Kyle paid to their customers concerns. I really hope my next support call to Slingshot is not shipped overseas to some third-shift call center.

Maybe each of Slingshots competitors should hire Kyle as a consultant to help improve their programs.

robd 02-05-2010 11:11 PM

haha kyle your gonna do just fine. your a very popular name here on wakeworld when customer service is brought up, youll get found good luck man

wake_eater 02-06-2010 7:45 AM

kyle, i'm sorry to hear this. u always helped me with questions from which board, to sanding edges. good luck to u. i'm sure you'll land on your feet. most of the time changes like this end up being for the better.

joshbuzz 02-06-2010 1:38 PM

Kyle, call me bro. We need to talk haha.

steve_jones 02-08-2010 6:10 PM
