shoreline improvements

I had seawall, dock and patio improvements done this fall when our lake was lowered for maintenance.

I am thrilled with how it turned out and thought you may enjoy seeing the craftsmanship.

Stairs turned out really neat. Normal water level will be about half way up the stairs.

Nicely done!

That's awesome. Lake tulloch would NEVER let you do that. No more sea walls at our lake. In fact they will not even let you drive a tractor or work from the lake bed, all work needs to be done from above the shoreline down.

wow! that looks great!

My goodness that's no joke! I need to see that filled with water... Where's the dock?

fly135 02-02-2017 8:01 AM

eubanks01 02-02-2017 10:35 AM

With all the rain this year, the lake filled fast. The dock frame was built just in time before the lake water was back up.

With massive rains as we have had this year, the lake's spillway cannot keep up and the lake rises. Our dock is 18" above spillway. Everything is built to handle it.

What a cool place!

How long is your Sport Nauti? I thought the rule there was nothing over 19' unless it's a pontoon.

diamonddad 02-11-2017 1:20 AM

Pontoons: 24', others: 21'. Sport Nautique is 20'.

Not a problem. My boat actually floated off the hoist for the first time on Wed but it is tied in place. Dock should be 18" above the water so the river is still flowing. Just some cleanup to do this morning...

Looks like that lake could get seriously busy in no time with all of those houses that have docks with boats. Sure looks peaceful right now though. What is the average depth? Looks like 10'-15'.

diamonddad 02-12-2017 12:33 AM

It's a very under used lake since many of the residents are retired and slowing down. We are on a smaller section that usually has the best water. But, it's not a great wake boarding lake since ballast is not allowed. I am ok with this since I am over 50 now, wake boarding less and skiing more (thus the sport nautique). Depth is 15 to 20 in our section and 20 to 40 in other sections. Quite different from the delta (disco bay) where we were for 18 years,
