Up here in michigan our season is nearing the end and this summer has`nt been the best, but this morning was great my nephew and I hit the water @ 7:45, air temp 48, water temp 70, the sun was shining bright, steam coming up off the water, Roger Clyne in the Cd player. (beautiful brother )

bill_airjunky 09-20-2009 9:12 AM

9am here. Sunshine & the public park on the lake has been closed for the season. Air temp is 62 already. Should be mid 70s with water temps in the mid/high 60s by noon when we hit the water.

02redws6ta 09-20-2009 9:41 AM

Getting ready to head out now in Mid-Michigan. Water temps should be high 60's air is nearing 70, should be a good day.

dohboy 09-20-2009 9:46 AM

9:45 loading up to go out on the water for a little bit and get a bite to eat. 62 degrees in the Tri Valley and its gonna be near 90 in the delta today.

my boat quit working on Thursday night! We rode behind a chaparral yesterday instead, in a way it was a nice change of pace to not worry about wake tricks and just jib and ollie anything you can find. Water is still so warm, I'm thinking we have another week before shorty season and a few weeks before fullsuit season. Boat should be back Monday night I hope, it's the best part of the season.

For the record- I would take a summer like this every year- we got started in April, had mild weather (I dislike anything over 85- my apologies) and had a ton of rain so I've been able to access parts of lakes I've never been to in my life before

99_slaunch 09-20-2009 10:37 AM

Man our air temps are still high 80's to low 90's. We stop riding late October early November.

mikeski 09-20-2009 10:45 AM

Went out to Don Pedro Friday afternoon, a lake I usually avoid due to tubers etc.

Air temp 90, water temp 74, not a breath of wind and glass for miles. Only saw 3 other boats between 1PM and dark O'clock.

At the end of the day my wife asked if I wanted to take a barefoot run, something she usually gets mad at me for doing. Took the run even made my tumbleturn, something I have not made in at least 2 years.

Awesome

michridr69 09-20-2009 1:37 PM

east side is 67 degrees lol

pdub 09-20-2009 2:03 PM

I was back on the water around 3:30, air temp 78 water temp 71, this time a little more friendly conditions. What great day.

nbigger 09-21-2009 8:31 AM

We will have to take advantage of the few good days we still have. Then it will be time for the dry suits then Ice skates.

On the bright side there is nothing better than a Empty lake.

pdub 09-21-2009 9:35 AM

nice pic!

bill_airjunky 09-22-2009 9:44 PM

This is what it looked like this evening at 5:30pm after work. 85 degree air, 67 degree water.

brett564 09-23-2009 3:05 AM

Bill, that's unreal water at 5:30 PM. In fact, I can't really remember ever seeing something like that while the air remained 85 degrees. And I live in SoCal! I'm not sure if I'm going to call BS, or move to where you live!

Nice touch with the PBR. It just so happens to be a staple on my boat too... Great pic.

bill_airjunky 09-23-2009 7:43 AM

I hear ya Brett. Believe me, it didn't last long. I finished that beer, and got my set in & a couple of tubers & jetskiers showed up. Was still pretty sweet.
Facing 90 today so we'll do it again.

mattgettel 09-23-2009 9:29 AM

that picture nearly looks fake is so nice eric.

gtoaws 09-23-2009 9:50 AM

These are from this morning out my office window of the Lower Willamette in Oregon City. Its been like this for about a week.

nbigger 09-23-2009 12:19 PM

It would be hard to get any work done with a view like that. All I would think about was getting out on the water.

nelson 09-23-2009 12:53 PM

That picture might even look better Matt if it was not from my phone. Labor day on the water looks like that all day long Might have one or 2 fishing boats but that is it. Hit the 90's again so rolling the office phones to cell phone and time to go have a board meeting out on the water.

packrat 09-23-2009 6:13 PM

Hey BillK, where is that lake you on? Looked great!

cpeepee 09-23-2009 7:34 PM

Here's what I've been looking at for the past few weeks.... Too bad I only get to 'look', as I'm here for work.
Have only seen 1 boat on the water once in the past 2 weeks.

bill_airjunky 09-23-2009 8:32 PM

Wow Craigp, that is awesome. It begs to be ripped up!

Packrat, that is Liberty Lake, in our back yard near Spokane. I lived/rode on the north end of Sammamish for like 12 yrs & moved away about 5 yrs ago. Was great while it lasted & I always miss seeing all the talent riding there.

kirk 09-24-2009 6:37 AM

Love this time of year!
Water and air temps are still warm enough, so no wetsuits, and absolutely no one on the river except a couple fishing boats. Here in the NW, I think most people pack it in after Memorial weekend, so we pretty much have the water to ourselves.
Playing hooky and going out today. The forecast is in the low 90's...

bill_airjunky 09-24-2009 7:35 AM

Or Labor Day even, huh Kirk? ;)
Have fun out there today!

kirk 09-24-2009 8:28 AM

Ahhh...yep... Labor Day...

talltigeguy 09-24-2009 11:31 AM

CraigP,

Where is that?

cpeepee 09-24-2009 7:14 PM

Talltigeguy,
This is a secluded reservoir in the interior of British Columbia (Canada), near Revelstoke BC.

The lake is 140km long and ALWAYS glassy flat. Like I said, I've seen only 1 boat on it in the 3 weeks I've been up here.
