Looking at a 2001 X-star with 125 hours, perfect pass, triple ballast, tower, racks, lights, tower speakers, good condition...can probably get for 26.5K. Seems priced well compared to other 01 X-stars I've priced. Doesn't have a depth gauge. What do you think?

Thats a screamin deal. NADA on them is still around 32-33K

psudy 09-18-2006 11:53 AM

Actually, it sounds to good be true. Is it a local deal, or an internet deal?

I have a 01 X-Star that has 370 hours and I will not let it go for under 32k. Just my 2 cents

if you don't get it--let me know

I sold my 01' in April for $35k and it had 120hrs on it so sounds like a great deal if its legit.

There is a 99 205v in the classifieds for 29k and a 2000 xstar for 28,500.
I am not sure what you could get these for but both say they want to move them. These boats are comparable.

Sorry, here's an update. The seller was asking 29995. I offered 26, he said 27, I said how about 26.5 and he accepted. The photos online looked good and I asked him to email me some more of the interior before I made a 10 hour one way trip to look at it. There was probably 5 "significant" tears or rips in the vinyl (around the seams) and 2 or 3 small ones. Cigarette burn in the carpet too. I called to ask him about this and he said the boat was stored inside all the time. He also informed me that there was no tower speakers or tower lights like the add stated, it was a mistake. Also no boat cover for it. These photos along with the fact that I just wasn't crazy about the exterior made me (and the wife) pass on it. I hope this wasn't a bad decision. I don't think I'll find another 01 X-star for this price. Anyways, here is the link to the boat. I have the interior pictures if anyone would like me to email them to you, let me know:
http://www.usedboats.com/index.php?site=usedboats.com&section=search&am p;boatId=893604&photo_index=3&maximize=954 5937

(Message edited by chaser on September 21, 2006)

Be careful with your vinyl for that year....MC has problems with the white discoloring and getting red spots all over it.
