Anyone got a chicken coop?
 

My wife has been wanting chickens since we moved into the new place. Just picked up a chicken coop. Gonna buy some chicks in the morning. I have an ag background, but the closest I’ve been to anything ag in the last 25 years is mowing the lawn. Lol I’ve never raised chickens. Just want to know if anyone has any advice or recommendations. I hear they’re almost as dumb as a libtard, but more entertaining to watch.

They are supposed to be good for keeping spider population down around the house. Be wary of predators, even in residential areas. If you live in a cold winter environment, make sure you have provisions for keeping them warm and their drinking water unfrozen.

Well... we bought 4 chicks and have been caring for them. It’s actually pretty fun. They each have their own personality. Went out yesterday morning, fed them and went away for awhile. Came back and one was laying down next to the coop entrance, dead as a Biden campaign. Of course it was the only black chicken we had and it was our favorite. Her name was Lucy. (We have another one named Ethel). I checked to see if there were any Minneapolis police officers around, but found no one to blame it on. RIP, Lucy.
