Snug Harbor on Steamboat slough

I will be camping there in a few weeks and just curious about conditions in that area? My group will have a surfer , foiler , wake boarder in it. Does the tide still affect that area?
And Thanks for any info

Conditions are pretty good around there. Great spot to camp. Not as busy with wakeboarders as some other areas. You may have to go up river a bit to get flat water if it's windy, but you can usually find flat water somewhere. Down river and out on the main river is good for surfing, it's a lot wider and you usually won't bother too many wakeboarders. The tide definitely still affects the area, if you have to cross the Sac river ferry, avoid low tide when you are towing, the angles on and off the ferry can be pretty steep. Rio vista is not too far for supplies and gas.
Lemme know if you have any more questions, or need a third. :P

Have had many good spring-time camping trips to Snug Harbor with tahoepete. If you go north from Snug into the smaller arms (you can see on Google maps), it gets narrower, but has big tall trees and we've gotten good water in there with 40 mph winds. If you go up a ways, you can grab some food by docking up on the water in Walnut Grove and just north of there is some decent riding in bigger sloughs. Should be a fun trip.

I drove down there last weekend and there was a narrow slough we followed a bit ...looked really narrow....lol
I usually ride out of Knights Landing north of Sacramento but figured I would slum it at the delta for a weekend....lol:D
I might have room Sat....just not sure if we're taking more then 1 boat.

Doesn't need to be much wider than twice the length of your rope. :)
