New tower on, questions about towing

So I just got my tower on with the lights, racks, billet mirror, speakers....etc.. I basically need to loosen the mirror and board racks to get the boat in the garage. I am about to be trailering it for a few hours tomorrow and I was curious, do you leave the mirror folded back or just in the position it gets used when you trailer? Has anyone had problems leaving their board racks out while driving? Do you trailer the boat with the boards on the rack? I figured I would leave the boards in the boat, seems like that would be a problem potentially. I am just debating on pivoting the racks in toward the boat while driving until I get to my campsite.

The risk with your board racks out is simply clipping trees or whatever that your tower clears but the racks don't.

It's been talked to death, but the majority do not trailer with boards in the racks. Those that have swivel racks and trailer with racks in them tend to pivot their racks in.

Not really sure what you're saying about the mirror. Mine has a quick release and the whole arm comes off. I typically take it off just so it's not splattered with bugs.

no boards on rack.

take mirror off for eliminating bug splat.

SPEAKER SOX for speakers ... for managing bug splat.

I don't have rotating board racks ... but if I did ... I'd rotate them in for sure. Probably less wind resistance. Surely less likely to snag anything.

You'll be fine. Bug splat is gross, especially after you've detailed your boat at home.
