Malibu Sunscape LSV for surfing/boarding??
 

I am looking for some information from anyone with experience with a 2002 Malibu Sunscape 21 LSV. Check link below

I read that it is more of a ski boat, producing a wake for slalom. However, with ballast will this boat produce a good wake for wakeboarding, and can it be used for surfing?

Sorry, I don't have any experience with that hull.

I had this hull and it was awesome. All around good at everything. I added surf gate to it and it really shined. Look up 2003 Surf Gate V2 (was posted on malibucrew) and you can see what it's capable of. It is a diamond hull, so better wake for cross sport and should be negligible at wakeboard speed. No difference at surf speed.

Was there a diamond and wake hull in 2002? I thought all of the Wakesetters back then were just Sunscapes with wedges and ballast. No? I thought the diamond / wake options came into play around 2005 ish.

They had a diamond hull in 2002, I has a wakesetter with the wake hull. It was okay at everything. I miss that boat.
