What pitch prop...

Just wondering what everyone is running for a prop... I have DD 20' 96' Blue Water Pro Am, 350 merc, with a 13X13 nibral 3 blade. Boat is an off brand... almost identical to Malibu response or sunsetter of the same vintage. Without getting to far into what i run for ballast, still playing with it as I only ran this boat two weeks in Oregon last year, only to decide I need more than the 2 400 lbs sacks I had and a manual surf gate. So I have been looking at posts and there is a lot of talk about ballast but not much mention about props... anyone with a similar boat that has tried different pitches or just let me know what you run would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Call ACME with all your info so that they can run the numbers. Just because someone runs a certain prop on their boat, it doesn't mean it will work for yours. There's just too many factors. Elevation is a big one. There's also ballast, motor, tranny, main use, secondary use. It's also good to have some solid data on how it performs now. I go through a couple data runs before and after a new prop purchase. I log speed and rpm at all the various mph. A large amount of data gives the guys at ACME the right info to make a recommendation. I'll do the same once the new prop is on and report back to ACME so that they have more info logged in for my boat.

I have a DD but, it's vastly different from yours. I run the ACME 911. It was designed as a replacement for the 653. As much as I loved the 653 that replaced my old OJ 13x13, the 911 is way better for me.

Stock OJ 13x13 4 blade, ACME 653 13x11.5 .06 cup 3 blade, ACME 911 13x10.5 .08 cup 3 blade.
