Axis T23 or A22?

Hey everyone,

Between an axis T23 or an A22, which one would you pick? (Both 2015 or 2016)

We basically use the boat for wakeboarding, so the decision should be based on wake size/shape and price.

Please, let me know what you guys think.

Cheers!

Do you generally like things that are flat or pointy?

If you are talking about the wake I would say kind of in the middle...

Have you ever rode behind one of those boats? What do you think about the wake?

I've ridden both frequently and let me say both have a great wake weighted. I tend to prefer the A22-24 because of the peakiness of the wake. I found the T series to have a more rolly shape of you will. That's just my 2 cents though. Good luck with your search, can't go wrong either way!

I have a 15' A22 and love the wake on it.

Think there was a thread about this about 6 weeks ago or so, maybe a bit more. Think that guy ended up buying an A22.

I rode the new A22 at Freedom Wakepark and it was solid. We got to put the T23 through the paces a couple weeks ago, and I have to say I was impressed. Hugh cockpit, amazing handling, and the wake was primo.

If it was me, I'd go T23. A bonus is the surf wave was also size large.

T23

I was struggling with the same decision, only I was comparing the A22 and T22. After talking to guys like Tom Fooshe and Adam McCall, I went with the A22. For wakeboarding, the Axis boats like a lot of bow weight. The wide bow on the A is heavier, so you don't have to consume the entire bow with ballast.

The way it was presented to me: If you're doing a lot of Surfing, get the T. If you're mostly wakeboarding, get the A. I was told that both were good, but the A was better for wakeboarders. I couldn't be happier. The wake is a BEAST.

We ended up choosing the A22 over the T23. I don't think you can go wrong either way, but prefer the pickle fork styling and didn't require the extra cabin space.

Jarrod- What's the ballast setup on that A22? Wake looks great.

canucked 06-22-2015 10:14 AM

Sorry for the smarta$$ comment, I honestly thought the only difference was one was a pickle fork and one was traditional bow.

Congrats on the new ride...I would have also picked A22, that is just based on styling as I haven't gotten to ride either.

We run the stock ballast, plus wedge and plug n play (front sack under the cushions, and 450s in the rear). 550 in lead in the nose. 2313 prop.

Nice. I bet that 2313 will handle anything and everything you throw at it. I've been really impressed with the 1235 so far.

jarrod 06-22-2015 10:43 AM

It does pretty good. When we went 2313, we dropped from the rear 750s to the 450s. Previously we ran the 2419. But only being able to go 25 mph at 4500 rpms got old.

Thanks for the advice! I think we will end up choosing the A22.

So excited to ride behind that wake!
