3.5 mm audio jack hole too big!!!!
Anyone have this issue??? The 3.5 mm audio jack hole on my boat seems like it's a hair too big. When I plug my double male wire into it so I can play music from my iPhone, it's very loose and causes the audio to cut in and out. If I hold it in place it's fine but as soon as the boat starts to move...it's spotty and cuts out. Anyone have any ideas???
If it needs to be replaced, can I just remove it a plug another one in, does it have to soldered....can you even buy a replacement 3.5 mm audio plug??? Cheers |
try a new cable first

3.5 mm audio jack hole too big!!!!
I definitely will and thanks for the suggestion however, it's a relatively new cable (within the last 3 months) that fits in all my other devices perfectly....the 3.5 mm audio jack in my boat is 10 years old.

All the in and out wears them out. May need to replace it

No more worn cables and just might fit the existing hole
