Suggested sale price for 2008 Nautique 230

1 Attachment(s)
Unfortunately it's time to sell my boat and I am looking for help. The shop owner that stores & does all maintenance has a buyer and is asking me for a price. After looking at onlyinboards I have some comparisons but wanted to get the advice of some owners. The boat is:
  • 2008 Nautique 230 Team Edition
  • In addition the stock ballast, there are 1000 lb bags in each locker, 700 lb center bag, and 700 lb bow bag (these are approximate, but close)
  • Interior and exterior are in great shape aside from a flaw on port locker pad and the sano pad on the platform has hairline cracks due to sun exposure (previous owner), but still solidly intact and soft
  • The stereo system is original stock and works, but not the best
  • The boat has 390 hours and has always been very well maintained. Runs perfect
  • 2009 Ram-Lin trailer that is in great condition

Thanks in advance for the advice. I'm not looking for something to the dollar, but suggestions rounded to the 1000's would be helpful. As a negotiating point with the eventual buyer, rather than budge on price, I'd rather throw in the huge number of boards, vests, ropes, etc. that I have accumulated over the last few years.

Thanks again.

Did you say what engine? Did I miss that in your post? Ask $50k and tell them negotiable and be willing to take $45kish.

Great question.....Engine is the 5.7, 390 HP, so the larger engine.

if I'm not mistaken the 6.0 liter was 390hp that year. My 07 236 had a the 6.0 and it was 375hp in 07. What kind of trailer does it have? Was it the ez loader illusion with 20" rims? If it's the 6.0 and a nice trailer I'd start at 50k like stated above

I see those boats go for between 40k and 50k.

The devil is in the details with these things and it's hard to judge based on what you've written but if the overall condition is good, without any major upgrades, I'd say 45k is probably a good price.

I just picked up the below 2009 230 that's almost your twin for 40k at the end if last year. My boat had 1000 hours, which tends to scare buyers away but also it recently had the interior replaced, which was a selling point.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a237f1c659.jpg

since it's winter the boat is not near me, but you're right, it's the 6.0. i think the 390 HP is still correct. trailer is nothing special. not ez loader or 20" rims. in great conditions, but stock. thanks again for all the input.

boats are twins, i love the look.

did you check the sold boats section too? https://www.onlyinboards.com/SoldBoats.aspx

had no idea you could see all boats sold. thank you. love onlyinboards

Thanks! We leave it up to the seller if they want to offer the sale price of their boat and of course we have no way of checking it's accuracy but i think the vast majority of boats on there have sale prices that are accurately represented.

God damn. That boat is gorgeous. Hi everyone - Hi Ian!
That is basically the perfect traditional wake boat. Between that thing and the Supra Worlds (2012'ish). Love it. If I were currently in a position to move on a boat... that's the one, baby. Good luck selling. Some buyer will be a very lucky human being.

The vote is asking price not selling. The idea of asking 40 is inviting a sales price 35-38. Seems low.

I don't see anyone suggesting starting at 40k.

Most suggest starting at 50k.

There is only 5 votes and 5 categories so it would be easy to skew the results. Only inboards and boat trader searches will help along with Craigslist. Things including this board get pretty quiet in the winter. Your best deal/option may be closer to spring.

Depends on how fast you want to move it. With the low hours and ZR6 (390hp) engine, good interior etc. I would start @ $52k. There's not that many 230's listed due to how good those boats are from 2008-2010. Great wakeboard wake, surf wake is awesome, boats are well built.
I wouldn't say the Ramlin trailer is a negative to a Boatmate or Illusion trailer, if anything, the Ramlins (IMHO) are better and you don't have to deal with finding funky 18 or 20 inch tires for them.
