Inflatable Paddleboard......Who Has One?
 

Anybody recommend one or have one and care to share how the performance is.

The inflatable one is obviously of interest for storage and transport.

I purchased one for the same reason. I have a solid YOLO board but when we travel its difficult to bring it with us. I ended up purchasing a inflatable SUP from West marine as they were $100 off. The one I have is the Jimmy Styks 10'6" Seeker. Its nice board and once its fully inflated I found no difference really however its not going to glide as smoothly as a non-inflatable. Hope this helps.

We have the one from HO Sports. Works great for us. Plus you can easily pack it up with you. Just have to make sure it's really really inflated as much as you can and it's perfect.

We got one from amazon, forget what one exactly, but we like it alot! It's great for a lake!

We absolutely love ours. Great for cabins or if you operate out of a beach. We have 2 MCITs from boardworks and 2 Streams from starboard. The MCIT is more stable and tracks better. We use ours for whitewater as well.

Had good luck with the NRS brand. They build a ton of whitewater gear and got into SUP's a few years ago. So far so good. I have even taken them down some whtiewater here on the Payette in Boise.

For inflatable I would go Tower Paddle Boards!

I have a couple of Tower Paddle boards.

I have been very pleased. They are easy to transport, and work very well.

Because they are inflatable and there is not a sharp edge, you can't surf them like I saw a guy do with a hard board, but I have no interest in doing that anyway. I see no other disadvantage.

Tower paddle board has almost 400 reviews on Amazon and still has a 4.5/5 rating. I bought one for myself.

They both are super rigid once filled. It is a workout to fill them but it takes about 5 minutes. They came with the same type of pump and paddle even though they are two different brands. I am lake testing them tomorrow.

Oh....make sure you get a 6 inch thick one. Makes a big difference for rigidity

I was looking at the Starboard or Jimmy Styks (Costco or West Marine) inflatable SUP but $499 seems like a great price. Would you say the Tower is comparable to those boards. I will be mostly using it on the Delta (river with not much chop).

I am also in the market for a isup. Has anyone fished off one of the tower boards? Good? Bad? I'm looking for a board that I can use at home but also travel with.

I plan on fishing off of mine this weekend. The Tava board is equally as good as the Tower isup. It comes with the same type of paddle and pump as the Tower so don't shy away from it.

I was tempted to pull the trigger on that Tower Sup yesterday on woot, but its really a deal breaker without the tie downs on top. I'm not going to risk having a mini cooler full of beer fall off when a wave comes by.

My girlfriend and I ended up ordering two yesterday. Seemed like a really good price. I was also disappointed it doesn't have any tie downs on top. I figure if we enjoy them and want to upgrade later on I can sell it for 80 percent off what I paid for it on Craigslist due to the popularity of them here and limited used ones forsale (Colorado).

Get the Tava off of amazon. It is 600 shipped. It will hold me and I am 220. I kinda wished I wouldnt have went with the Tower after knowing what I know. Reguardless, they are a blast and worth it. The gf and I plan on going out this weekend on ours and fishing and drinking beer. The Tower comes with front and back hooks. I need to go to walmart and pickup a floaty for my cooler and drag it along with me.

After a little research I'll either get this kit or tower has d rings you can glue to the board as well

So you like the Tava better than the Tower? What do you like better about it. I need to pick one up but don't want something I'll outgrow right away. Will be using it mostly on a river with flat water and occasional swells.

Mine is a Lakeshore Heavenly. 12'6" long, 31" wide, & 23 lbs. I can't say enough good things about it. I've had 3 other SUPs, 2 of which were foam epoxy boards that eventually had issues from knicking or dinging them on the ground, truck, gate, etc., and then taking on water or air till i repaired them. The inflatable is tough, takes a beating, is damn near as fast as any other board i've been on, very stable, and i can roll it up & pack it in the car or closet if needed.
