Need help with Stereo upgrade

Hello,
I have a 2008 VTX and want to replace the speakers, sub and amps. Please let me know what you think...Trying to keep the budget around 2K.

Speakers(6) - Polk Audio MM651UM or Wet Sounds SW-65i-B (Black)
Speaker Amp- Wet Sounds HT-6
Sub - Wet Sounds XS-12 S4
Sub Amp - Wet Sounds HT-1

Does anyone have experience with these components? Also, I'd like to add Bluetooth connectivity, so replacing the head unit is also an option, Anyone do this on a 2008? Advise or recommendations?

Thanks, I really appreciate any feedback!

HT-2 for the XS-12

If the head unit has a rear AUX input, go with a universal BT like the Wet Sounds BTVC

you might as well add the WS 420BT while you are at it. Do you have tower speakers?

I do currently have tower speakers but we don't really use them while riding for two reasons...you cant hear the music bc it not loud enough and you have to turn up the music so loud that the people in the boat cant deal with how loud it is...the tower speakers are factory from 2008.

Zone volume control will cure that. Allows you to turn down the in-boats volume and crank the tower volume.

I assume the WS 420BT would handle that as well as give me better eq manipulation...?

I would use the XS-650's instead of 65i. The 65 is still a good speaker over what you have, but there's a huge difference in sound quality and loudness with the 650. When people hear my display in my store, they choose the 650 everytime. The HT6 will still be enough to power them.

the 650's are worth the extra money for sure.....or if you wanted to stay in the lower price range you could also look at the JL MX, I would recommend them over the Wetsounds 65i at a similar price point.
